Hey everyone!
I'll be in DLRP in less than a week for Halloween and I was just wondering what does the Halloween party even consist of? Is there trick or treating?

There will be a lot of "old" character photos op', meet-and-greet in cute little display, a special "dreams!" show, there's a possibility of sweets, face-painting, and probably some others things to do but I don't see any "program" like they do for the NSSHP in DL or WDW. The communication is a bit weak IMHO.

Anyway, I think it will be fun ! Will you wear a disguise ? (I surely will :p )

And I'm sorry for hijacking your post, but as I'm not finding any information about it....Does someone know if FP will be available and if yes, how are we supposed to obtain them, knowing that I've got an electronic ticket ?

hi, I can remember seeing a programme for the Halloween party last year. this will be our first trip at Halloween and we have booked tickets for the party. as far as I can gather there will be character meet and greets and possibly some shows and music but the programme has not yet been released. we are all dressing up :)

We will be there. We have been to MNSSHP and loved it. This in our first trip to DLP and we are dressing up.

I'll be there to.
I'm dressing up as Dale in a ghost costume.. And my Duffybear is Chip :)

You need to scan the barcode that's on it, at the FP machine.

We will be there too! What is everyone else dressing as?

DH and I are dressing up as pirates, DS will be an astronaut and DD is going To be a dragon. Our main concern were finding costumes that are going to be warm.

We had the same problem! So DD and I are both going as Dalmatians - we've each got a dalmatian onesie that we can put layers on underneath if needed! :thumbsup2

It took a lot of negotiation, but we are going as Wizard of Oz characters: the Scarecrow, Glinda, the Wicked Witch and the Tin Man. I've got thermals for the kids to wear under their costumes and the adults will likely just wear clothes under them anyway.

I'm going as....a witch with pink glittery spiders on my hat and dress (and my friend as a cat)
(not really original, more of a "last minute" with what I had at home)

We should totally try to meet each-others :D

Moorhunhe : that's what I thought, thank you !

I got a onesie as well. To bad i needed to change the face of Dale. So i made a ghost costume on top of it, an extra warm layer :D

I think I might have seen you a few times! Did you meet Duffy on Halloween morning in his spot on Main Street? If so, you were also sat practically next to us at the inventions lunch! Either that or it was someone else with an equally good costume!

For me, Halloween night was terrible, pure chaos filled with rude people beyond believe.
I would not want to do it again next year.
Someone must really persuade me big time to see characters again on Halloween night.
(and I was so looking forward to seeing the hyena's, but didn't manage to :( )

I was there last year, but we didn't bother with the characters, we saw the boat show, and did rides for the rest of the evening untill Dreams and then left.

Sadly I must agree :( we didn't enjoy it much either, DD nearly got crushed after meeting sully and mike with about fifty grown adults pushing forwards as we were trying to make our way out. Luckily a kind American lady noticed and help to lift DD out of there but we were both very shaken by it.

We would not go back for the party again :(

I have to admit that organisation was awful! I was lucky enough to meet everyone that we wanted to meet. But I looked at some of them queues and it scared me and I am so surprised nobody got really hurt.

I did however have a great time with my friends and it was a fun night. Though walking out the park at 2.30am was a killer! Last ones in there. I think I got to bed at 3am LOL!

It was certainly a bit of a culture shock! For a start I had no idea people took it so seriously and DS was thoroughly confused with all the princesses and other characters walking about. It was far more crowded than I had anticipated too... I expected it to be a bit more exclusive! I know it was sold out but anyone have any idea how many tickets that was?

We saw some costumes in really bad taste too - I thought they were meant to be acceptable according to the posters around? A lot were really good though and I felt almost embarrassed not to have made the effort to dress up.

We loved the river boat show (watched twice) and DS enjoyed the pirates show although we missed it first by waiting to watch it from across the lake. That had seemed the obvious position and we weren't the only ones mistakenly missing out there. I think that could have been made clearer. We watched the next show in the right place but I was amazed at how people were allowed to sit on the fence with a drop into a narrow channel of water behind them - an accident waiting to happen I would have thought. On the other hand we waited at the lake edge for the river boat show and then were all told to "reculer, reculer" until we couldn't go back any further because we hit a wall and so were pinned back to it by a rope. I don't think anyone would have been in danger at the water's edge as it is a reasonably high fence there and if they didn't want us there they should have roped it off earlier. It was a bit chaotic.

Characters, well that was just mayhem! We managed to get Kuzco and Shelly May so I suppose we should be grateful but I'd hoped for much more. I just caught a glimpse of the Cheshire cat. I think you would need to decide whether to go for characters or shows not try and do both like we did. Fortunately we had bagged some of the usual Halloween characters before.

I'm glad I know what the soiree is all about and if we decide to go next year we will be able to be more organised and "in the know" but I'm not sure whether or not I want to yet.

This sound awful Helen !!

Some guy came up to me in a Jigsaw from Saw Mask and it made me scream my head off. I did see some CM's tell people to remove their masks. But I loved seeing some of the other costumes, I was surprised to see one person dressed up as Gepetto lol.

I also have heard about people hiding in restaurants till when the party started so they could attend for free, which imo is so out of order for those who have paid for tickets. I didn't see any CM's check bracelets once inside the park.
