Halloween party food?

We are considering attending the MNSSHP. Can anyone tell me if there are restaurants open during this and can the dining plan be used during the party? I need to know if I should feed the kids prior to attending or if there will be restaurants to eat in (on the dining plan). Thanks!

We're going too, again, this year. You will love it!
When we attended last time we had an early dinner 4:00 at the Crystal Palace. We were the only ones dressed for MNSSHP and it was the regular character (pooh and friends) dinner. We love Crystal Palace because we think the food is pretty good.
I've always read about people going to the Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner.
I've seen photos of the CM dressed like ghouls while serving diners. I think we might take that route this year. I think it is a sit-down dinner.

I do not know if the dining plan is included, we didn't use that.

we did LTT last year and loved it, we were on the dining plan. Good Thanksgiving style food (gets you in the mood for Fall) and the characters have masks/costumes and about half of the staff look like ghouls. I HIGHLY recommend a very early time, before 5pm. You don't want to waste halloween time in a sit down restaurant. The ressies book up quickly though so you need to decide right away.

Are the counter service resteraunts open that night? I am going to go to the 9/29 one using my table service at Crystal Palace at 4.50pm and a counter service for a supper.

Yes, some counter services stay open like Cosmic Rays, Pesco Bills, Casey's Corner etc...
