I am planning a trip in October from the 4th-10th.When does the halloween party(can't remember the abbreviation) start?If we will be there at the right time,can someone explain what happens.Thanks.

Thanks for the info.now I have to find out how much tickets are and decide if this is something I want to do.What actually happens at the parties?I think I will look for some trip reports.

The name of the party is MNSSHP do a search and you will find lots of info on it. We are going to try if for the 1st time next Oct.

Hello....we went for the first time last Oct and it was hands down my favorite part of our trip! Even though it was sold out the night we went we still walked on to rides. We didn't have to wait for a seat for the parade...we found a great spot in front of Pecos Bills 10 minutes before it started. We had dinner at LTT before the party and that was a blast! I would try for an early ADR if you decide to do this. The characters and hostesses (sp?) were dressed up and alot of fun. My DD8 wore a costume, DD12 wore a halloween t-shirt and sprayed glitter in her hair. DH and I did not dress up and did not feel out of place at all. Never can get too much information. I think someone said that if you have an early ADR you can get in before the party starts so that is what I am going to do.

Ok I need to pick the brains of all the former visitors to MNSSHP. I have it in my head that I want to dress as Mrs. Potts on our fall visit to WDW. This will be DH's and my first vacation WITHOUT children and we're going to live it up. I love the costume and I have some ideas on how to make it a little cooler to wear but I was wondering about something.

The costume is kinda poochy and I was wondering if I will be able to ride certain rides at MK while wearing it, or will I be to fluffy for comfort?

I love dressing up for Halloween and I've had my eye and heart set on Mrs. Potts for a while.

It you are "stuffing" the pot, I think most rides are not doable. But have you thought about doing it with boneing, like a hoop skirt? That will still be tough on some rides, but at least you can kind of mash it down or bend it up to get thru turnstiles.

I wanted my sister to be Ursula last year, but we decided that was not a costume for rides either.
