Does DL have a not so scarey halloween party and a mickeys merry christmas party like WDW?

Nope, DL doesn't do the hard ticket parties.

Actually for the Halloween one you should see the confused look on peoples faces when they see all the little kids dressed up in costume lining up to go into the park.

They used to have a Halloween one. They had it for 2 or 3 years in the mid 90s. That was also around the same time as when they had special AP holder parties also, which they've also done away with.

Knotts Berry Farm pretty much has the lock on Halloween with its Knotts Scary Farm after hours party. Though there were rumors about possibly doing one at DCA this year, so we will see.

The good thing about Christmas at Disneyland is you do not need the Party because you get the best parts (IMO) available during regular park hours - the parade, fireworks and snow. No need to spend an extra $35 for them. And in most cases the park is open later then the MK 8pm closing vs 6pm.

Thanks for the info. I'm planning to go to DL in Dec. Can't wait. seems like it's such a ways off.
