Halloween Outfits

I love dressing up and it took DH a little bit of persuasion but he finally agreed to dress up back in 2012. I wore Ariel's town dress and DH went as Linguini from Ratatouille.

This year DH is going as Fix it Felix Jr and I will be going as Ariel in her mermaid form.

My Hubby is being a pain and when I mention halloween outfits he turns off, I'm going to get him some items to take. Any idea on cheap and easy pirate ideas for a man thats not too over the top. I am sure once he is there he will be fine lol x
My husband and I are also going as pirates, but low-key costumes: striped shirts (ruffled would work, too), skull bandanas, gold chains, a pirate map tucked in a back pocket, and pirate tattoos. I'll wear gold hoop earrings, too, and maybe an eyepatch -- husband thinks it would be too visually-impairing. I got everything on Amazon for less than $40, since I already had jewelry and printed the map at home. We might buy a fake sword at WDW

Have fun!

Thank you for the ideas :) we have blow up swords, I hope they are allowed xx

DD and I are doing 2 parties this year. Wearing Jack (me) and Sally (DD) inspired tutu's with custom T's for one party and Peter Pan and Tink tutu's for the other party. We were going to wear full costumes but did that a few years ago and it was HOT so we wanted to wear something a little cooler this year.

My DD an myself went as Snow White and Dopey in 2014

DD12, DD14, and I will be going as characters from Inside Out (can't wait to count how many other families will be going as that :rotfl:). DD12 will be dressing up as Joy, DD14 will be Disgust, while I will be dressing as Riley. We have all of the costumes and accessories, and luckily our outfits are ones that can be reused as everyday outfits too...woohoo. The only thing I want to look for is "orbs" for the girls to hold, another DISer on here suggested I look for plastic balls that I can fill and then put glow sticks (or I am thinking maybe glow bracelets) in of the colors of their characters. Thought that would look so cool in pictures especially at night. As for myself, since Riley is a huge hockey fan, I will be holding a sponge hockey puck for pictures. We are so excited for the party, we have loved going to the previous 2 parties that we attended...unfortunately my DH is being a party pooper that night because he wants to hop over to Epcot so he can have dinner and watch Illuminations...oh well, more trick or treating for us then

Having the same problem with the guys in my family! Finally they agreed upon their favorite team baseball jerseys and baseball hats. Better then nothing I guess!

My son went as Elvis when he was about 12. Full white jumpsuit and big pompadour. Every time he got candy he lower his voice and give a big "Thank you. Thank you very much." Which usually resulted in big laughs from the CMs and a reward of more candy.

What about fish bowls, drill holes in each side, and use them as both the costume piece and a trick or treat bag? You could run L wire around the outside, line the inside with a bag, and defuse the l wire with crinkled up plastic.

First party for us in October...
DD3 - Wendy
DS6 - Peter
DD7 - Tink
DW - Tiger Lily
Me - Hook

My family's 1st Party...we are excited my DD is dressing up as Mal from Decendants, and myself as Maleficent, DM will be Cruella. Now I just have to convince by DS to dress up as Carlos from the movie Descendants.

Went with my brothers family in 2012, and after a conversation planning with my DSIL, I purchased 4 orange shirts and fabric paint. We went as Jack-o-lanters, since as DSIL said, we are all pooh shaped anyway. On the back of my and DH shirts I wrote Minnie's Pumpkin Patch as DD was Minnie Mouse, and my DB and DSIL each had the name of one of their sons costume's Pumpkin Patch on theirs. I think one was Mario and the othe a Red Ninja. It was an easy way to get in the spirit and include our kids.

Ooooh, I like that idea too. I am so thankful I have you DISers to help me figure out projects that I would otherwise not think of myself :goodvibes.

I'm thinking your idea may work a little better then the previous idea only because I was planning on putting the orbs in our backpack when we aren't using them, your idea will allow the girls to still carry their orbs throughout the park since they will be filling them up with candy :hyper:.

This year I'm thinking Evil Queen for my costume. Then I would do the meet and greet with the 7 Dwarves for sure. I thought about breaking out my Belle ballgown for my "Belle after she's been married a few years and had a few kids" costume but decided that would be too hard to move around Disney World in.

Last year was Minnie Mouse, one year I was a gypsy using only stuff I had around the house. Another year I wore a black dress and bought a minnie mouse witch hat which I wear at my house for the trick or treater every Halloween.
The year I decided to drive down from Georgia the day before I just wore my Evil Queen tshirt. My husband thought I was crazy for going but I had the best time. LOL

Loving all the outfits :)

Managed to talk hubby round :) he's going to go in Jeans with a skull and crossbow mickey t-shirt, bandana and some pirate tattoos :)
