Halloween-other parks, resorts?

We're thinking about visiting WDW during Halloween week in 2017. I'm researching the heck out of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party, but I also wondered...do any of the other parks do anything for the holiday?

And what about the resorts? Say, if the kids just wanted to wear their costumes around Art of Animation on Halloween night, would there be anything special going on?

Thanks!

Other parks - no.

Resorts - yes, all of them. Each resort does it's own thing, but all include candy, recreation activities, and characters. Here are photos over the past several years: WDW HALLOWEEN RESORTS

We were there for Halloween last year and resort activities were fun and a lot of people were dressed up.

We are staying at Fort Wilderness over Halloween this year, it looked super fun, with the pet costume costume usually on the 30th, and the decorated golf cart parade on the 31st. PLUS visiting all the decorated campsites. We will not be trick or treating, but people do that too, at FW.

First time for us staying there, in a cabin.

We're trying, now, to decide whether to go to the MNSSHP on Oct. 31 (2017) or go on Oct. 30 and just hang out at our resort on Halloween night.

Anyone know if there's a big difference in crowds between Oct. 30 or 31? I think we're still leaning toward Oct. 31.

MNSSHP generally sells out for Oct. 31. You'd need to buy the ticket ahead of time. I don't know if they've sold out for 2016 yet and this year saw a major price hike...don't yet know what effect that will have.

We're doing exactly what you suggested but his year. Party on 30th, resort on Halloween. We've been at POR twice just before Halloween and been really sad that we couldn't stay for the activities so really looking forward to it this year.

We had a blast at our resort last Halloween! We stayed at the Grand Floridian. They had activities all day, and Minnie and Mickey were there as a witch and a farmer for photos and autographs. The Contemporary Resort always has a lot of activities all day.

We did MNSSHP, and I wouldn't do it again considering they've raised ticket prices and cut meet and greets. The parade was great, as was Hallowishes, but not worth the increased price tag. If they still had their villain meet and greets... Malificent, Frollo, Hook etc etc, it would be worth the inflated price. Just my opinion!

Both days will sell out but on the 31st you could find Halloween stuff to do at resorts which you won't on the 30th. (We are doing the party on the 30th this year and resort stuff on the 31st)

I agree, it will give you two days of Halloween fun this way
