Hi!
This is my first time sending a new thread so I hope I'm doing this correctly! We've booked a 7 night cruise on the Disney Magic for the end of October 2004. I wondered if anyone had travelled on the Magic during Halloween. Do they have any special activities for the kids or family to celebrate Halloween? Do we bring costumes to dress up? Is there any trick or treating? Do we have to bring treats to give out? If anyone has any information, I'd be very grateful to hear from you! Thanks!

Lynda

Lynda- First off welcome to the DIS!

Our first cruise was this past October on the Magic(Western). We were lucky enough to be there for Halloween. There is TorT for the kids, and a costume contest for the adults at night. So, yes, we did bring costumes. The TorT provided by Disney was a MADHOUSE. My kids baled after 2 minutes. We were fortunate enough to participate in a "private" TorT organized by wonderful people here on the DIS boards. For that we had to bring our own treats. The kids all LOVED that. I am sure someone will start another one for your Halloween cruise. We rebooked, but for June. It was too hard pulling the kids from school for us.

Hi laurenk! Thanks for replying and for the welcome! Just wanted to ask exactly what a TorT is? Thanks again!

There's a thread in the cruise meets section for the Halloween 2004 cruise. I've been very busy with holidays, etc so I don't know how active it's been. A few people have posted, and someone mentioned organizing TorT-- trick or treat.

Hope this helps,

Julie

Oh, we're going on that cruise-- dh, dd (10), ds (6), and me. Can't wait.

Hi Julie!
Oh brother, do I feel silly! Of course, TorT is Trick or Treat! I should have known this! Anyway, thanks for letting me know about the thread re the Halloween 2004 cruise! I'll certainly take a look and see who our fellow passengers are!
