Halloween decorations onboard. Halloween storytime around the Pumpkin Tree. One day was designated "Halloween" with activities and costumes. Halloween themed movies in the theatre.

Looks like our cruise in Sept aboard the Fantasy will be having this party. The kid is stoked. I must admit, it sounds kinda fun. Last year we did the MNSSHP at Magic Kingdom which was awesome. Two Halloweens in a row with Mickey.

The atrium is decorated with a large pumpkin tree, story telling by the tree and a few decals on the portholes ( cheesy cling on type). I wish DCL would wait with the Halloween themed cruises until at least October. We have sailed on Disney many times and it seems like the ship is always decorated so early. Early November for Christmas cruises and September for Halloween cruises.

We enjoyed the dressing up for the Halloween party. It was so cool to see so many different costumes and ideas. Most of the halloween stuff was pretty understated. We couldn't seem to get our schedule set to go to the other events in a timely fashion. They also do a meet and greet with Jack Skellington and Sally after the movie. We didn't do that either.

I guess for our family of 3, we would not choose a cruise solely for the holiday extras, but they were an added benefit.

If you think of it has a bit of extra fun and not a big deal you will enjoy it much more. Keep your expectations low and it will be fun.

Thanks everyone for the advice. We have had this cruise booked since the dates opened up. We booked on our last cruise and then moved it to this one when it opened up.
We love the parks at Halloween but this seems a little soon to me to but we will enjoy the decorations and some of the events I have been reading about. We will not dress up but may wear a Halloween T-Shirt.
We didn't know it was a Halloween cruise til we started hearing it here and now have gotten information in or cruise documents.
We sail September 7th Yah !!! Getting closer.
