Halloween on the High Seas 2016 Dream

Hi All.

I finally have a free day to write out my TR on our 3 night Dream cruise we took this year which was a HOHS cruise. I have a few pics to add as well. We sort of booked this last minute and took advantage of a 5E GT rate which I thought was a good price for a weekend getaway. Last time, we did a Merry Time cruise we missed some of the events so I thought this would be a good opportunity to try them, one being Pirate Night, which we missed last cruise as well as Villains Tonight.

All in all we had a great time, I thought the food was better than last time. We had fun table mates, 2 other single moms with their kids, one was my DD's age and they got along great. Our stateroom was roomy and it had a nice huge AFT balcony....I liked the configuration of the room we had last time better...but this did fine.

We sailed for Labor Day weekend since my DD had the Monday off. She would only be missing one day of school so I was okay with that. The weather was warm and wonderful. We really enjoyed our time at CC and did the Pelican Plunge many times.

So let's move...Our first close up of the DREAM.

This will be a short TR as everyone already knows what the ship looks like...so will just be sharing a few pics.

This greeted us as soon as we entered.....

The tree was "naked" at the beginning of the cruise...but changes as it goes on. This was the first HOHS cruise of the season btw.

So the first order of business was FOOD...and finally after dream weeks about these crab legs, it was time to indulge! The lamb chops were great too, very flavorful!

Here was our 5E balcony, deck 9.

Since we had 2nd seating, we grabbed a snack from room service some time that evening....

We spent most of the time exploring the ship on Day 1...went to the pool deck and just relaxed.

We also tried BBB, DD got the Pirate Princess (She also got her hair braided as you can see)

They did a wonderful job.

The tree had grown it's pumpkins this day...

We spent some time around the ship on our Nassau Day....

Crush was very engaging this time around...he spoke to everyone at my table...

A couple of drinks we had, one was virgin one wasn't..

Castaway...we loved our day here....the best Private Island in the Carib.

The water was awesome in September....


One more pic from Sailaway...I have tons on my iPad but can't seem to easily imbed so that's all I have folks...

While I loved the Dream, our next cruise will probably be on the refurbished Wonder some time late 2018 as we have other cruises booked in the meantime. I would like to try the Fantasy, but I'm not willing to shell out that kind of $ at this point. Of course I will keep my eyes out for deals, but will be difficult as we sail around school breaks. I will also be eyeing the new ships.

Thanks for sharing! We missed our HOHS Dream cruise due to the hurricane. We're there any special events you pre-registered for on your Very Merry Cruise? Maybe ginger house decor, or is it not offered on the Dream?
