We just booked the 10/27/13 sailing on the Magic. The last night on board is Halloween...does anyone know what if anything they do special for Halloween? This is Pirate night if I remember correctly, I wonder if they just combine the two. My kids are already talking about the costumes they want to take. Looking forward to sailing the Magic again and seeing all the new changes, we will be on the second sailing after all of the improvements.

We sailed on the Wonder for Halloween a few years ago and there was a trick or treat bag and a map of where to go around the ship for "treats" left on our bed the night before. On Halloween just before dusk they started playing the music from the Haunted mansion at WDW which really added to the fun. Our daughter and lots of the other kids planned ahead and were all in costume. It was really cute. Minnie was also trick or treating wit the kids dressed as witch. At dinner the desserts were also Halloween themed. I think that they had some sort of pastry that looked like a spider. the ship was decorated with cobwebs and other fun things. It was a lot of fun!! You will have a great time!! pirate:

Was the decor up when you got on the ship? I am wondering if Halloween fun is offered the whole month. We sail Oct. 12-19, and I would love to trick or treat and have a themed night.

Thanks Bear, guess I should have done a search beforehand. ;) I do appreciate the links...looks like there will be a little something special at least. That's all I care about quite honestly. My kids like trick or treating but I should hope another Disney cruise will avoid the disappointment of skipping it this year. Talk about first world problems!

Thanks also king, sounds like so much fun!

The decorations ( cardboard cut-outs and cob-webs) went up in the afternoon around the ship and it seemed that the crew gets a kick out of doing it. pirate:

We sailed last year Oct.13-20 on the Magic and there were no Halloween activities. I believe it is only done the week of Halloween.

I am worried there will be no trick or treating as well. I book on the October 27th cruise on the Magic but now thinking of canceling it
