Halloween Must Do's

Ok, so this is my first official post ever. I have been a DIS fan for years, just getting the 411 on info for Disney trips. I personally have been to Disney World almost a dozen times in my adult life, and always had a good time and learned so much from this great extended Disney family, the DIS Boards.

We are going this year in October 2016 for first time with 9 members of my family. My father in-law past away last year, and was his dream to have all five of his granddaughters experience Disney together. We are making his wish come true with a dream trip.

We already have many memorable moments planned, including trying to get grandpa's name etched in the stone at Magic Kingdom. But since this is Halloween time, and this is not our first visit, we want to focus on Disney Villains and one of a kind memories.

My two daughters, on note will be Maleficiant and Alice from Wonderland. We of course would like to meet these characters, but also their counterpart Aurora and the Queen of Hearts. Where can we do this and what days are better? We will be ther October 15-22, 2016.

My oldest daughter, dressing as Maleficiant, would like to collect pins relating to Halloween and one of a kind Villians. Where is the best place in Disney World to Collect?

And finally, where is the best place to catch that once in a lifetime villian moment, but also family memory? I'm looking for any advice to make this a very cool "Disney Villian" trip" but also have that once in a lifetime family moment?

I'm grateful to the generous trip we will be embarking on, and although do not believe in planning every moment of my trip, value the unique memories we can find with the right inside scoop.

Where is the best place in Disney World to Collect?

As far as pin collection goes, Disney Spring usually has be best selection. But you will find a very good selection at the Frontier Land pin store as well. There is also a fairly good pin shop near the fountains in EPCOT.

If you want to meet Maleficent, you'll have to go to Club Villain, which is a sit down meal where you get to meet Maleficent, Queen of Hearts, Snow White's evil queen and Cruella, it is quite an upcharge especially is everyone wants to go. The Queen of Hearts also meets at Club Villain, she is a face character there which means she will be able to speak with you.If you attend a Halloween party, it is also an upcharge but you get to go to the MK and experience a Halloween parade, fireworks, trick or treating, costume wearing (even for adults, who are usually prohibited from wearing costumes) a Hocus Pocus stage show and villain meet and greets.

The Queen of Hearts meets at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party (MNSSHP), but she is not a face character. That means she will not be able to speak with you.

You can meet Alice and Aurora anyday at MK or Epcot.
