What about the old Abbott and Costello movies. They meet Frankenstein, the Wolfman. There is one about a Haunted Mansion even. Also what about the Bob Hope and Bing Crosby movie that takes place inside a hanuted house. Not sure of the title though. All are very funny and great for kids of all ages too. Happy Halloween Movie Night!!
My kids picks were
The Adams Family
Charlie Brown (cant remember the name but the one with the great pumpkin)
Halloween Town
Casper meets Wendy
The Little Vampire
well, I ended up getting psycho from my local library and I did get sleepy hollow. Not exactly family friendly movies.. but when I went to my local blockbuster a lot of the "family" scary films were already taken! A woman who worked at Blockbuster said a lot of teachers had rented them all... lol. oh well! we still had a great halloween date night! I made "dead mans fingers" (Hot dogs with ketchup) and "salty bones" (breadsticks formed to look like bones) with orange pumpkin rice crispie treats for us to snack on while watching the movies... dh thought the fingers looked a little too much like real fingers! (and they did!)...... I got the ideas for the fingers and the bones from a disney family website for halloween recipes! it was real fun!
I was just about to suggest Tower of Terror when I saw your post
I remember I used to take it out of my local library all the time, so when I went to Disney this year and saw the DVD for sale in the ToT giftshop, I bought it, no questions asked.
Another good one, that I LOVED as a kid was Lumpkin the Pumpkin. Such a cute hallowe'en movie- with great songs!
I know they don't sell it anymore (my cousin ordered me a used copy off e-bay as a gift ). A library or rental store might have it, but it's only on VHS, so chances are limited. So maybe that wasn't a good suggestion...
