I would drive. My personal experience with bus vs. car to Magic Kingdom was that it ended up being about equal in time, factoring in the wait for the bus (this was testing from CBR). So with time being a wash, you have the comfort of your own car and not a crowded bus as the tipping point.
I also think it's a good call to go with the Nov 1 party instead of your arrival day. That would be a really long day with a little one and you don't want to get wiped out at the beginning of your vacation.
