Going to enjoy the Halloween atmosphere at Disneyland this weekend (all day Friday and Saturday, plus Sunday morning). We've been to Disneyland for Halloween time before (though not in a few years), but my Mom has not. And our youngest turns 2 on Sunday.

Disneyland:
Haunted Mansion and Ghost Galaxy overlays
Decorations on Main Street and in Frontierland
Characters in Costume, is Jack meeting this year?
Gadget's Go Coaster: Youngests first coaster ride.

DCA: So much new stuff here this year.
GOG, Mater's, Luigi's overlays
Decorations around Carthay Circle and in Carsland
Characters in Costume, who is out?
Headless Horseman statue

What are the best things to do at Disneyland for Halloween? What am I missing? We do not have party tickets.

Yes, Jack is meeting. We waited 70 minutes for him (and Sally) on Saturday only to have the Photopass photographer leave on break just before we met them, but they're there. The "fab five" have costumes at both DL and DCA. DL has also had more villains out, like Jafar was out last weekend (haven't checked this week).

You're missing food! So many yummy food options! The Disney Parks blog did a whole list.

DCA:
Carsland characters in Halloween Costumes (Vampire Mater, Clown Red, Pirate Cruz, Superhero McQueen, and DJ)
BVS characters in Halloween Costumes (different outfits from DL - I saw Mickey, Minnie, Daisy, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto)
Coco (A Celebration of Family) over in Paradise Pier

Disneyland:
Jack and/or Sally met in NOS (between Port Royale and Pieces of Eight)
Characters in Costume in Town Square (Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, etc.)
Decorations in and around NOS (mostly NBC themed)
Mostly just bunting in Toontown
Halloween Magic Shots (I don't know which ones are MHP exclusives)

DTD:
Some pumpkin displays in DTD (not carved, just piles of pumpkins)

Everywhere:
Food and treats in most/many dining locations

Thank you guys. Looks like I wasn't missing much information. Thanks for the information about all the characters. Glad Jack is still meeting. I hadn't seen any pictures of him this year and was worried that he was being pushed out for the new DCA stuff. Good to know that the characters have different costumes at the different parks. We're really looking forward to Vampire Mater, especially my four y/o son.
