I wasn't around...can someone please let me know exactly what costumes were available, for how long, in what store(s) and how much they were? I know the prices have probably gone up - but I'd like to get some kind of an idea of what I'm in for...and I was really curious as to what was on sale because Yavn said they would be bringing back some favorites. Any help would be great, and whatever you can remember would help, thanks!

yellow explorer, green explorer
pink, yellow, blue dress
black & brown cowboy
indian
gray and black mansion

They started coming out a couple a day the last week of october, and were all retired right after halloween

awesome, thanks - were they approx. 500 for each piece and 1,000 for hats? All in the emporium or spread out amongst the stores?

I can't wait!

pretty much 500 credits per piece and if i am remembering correctly they were at the emporium. I dont think they were spread out.

I was trying to answer my own question by looking at the items guide...it looks like they might have been spread out as I'm seeing the cowboy costume at Golden and dresses at Small world...can anyone confirm?

What about furniture?

pumpkins, skeleton chairs - was their anything else? Chernabog rug - was that halloween?

sorry about all the questions

the pirate sand rug also, but that stayed there. Of course there was the candy cauldron also but you couldnt buy it.

I seem to remember princess dresses and crowns being sold at Small World Imports.

Ah,so you couldn't buy it. I wondered how I missed it. The costumes were spread out and cost sounds right. I do expect cost to be about what they sell for now instead. Rereleases they might charge more for - just no telling. I would also watch out not to spend all your cash only to have an expensive surprise dropped in on us. ie. 50000 credit magic carpet after they sell a bunch of costumes. I have no info on that but Bat magic came out after we dumped 100K credits into the everest ride.

I suddenly feel like I need to bump my credit goal from 50K to 100-150K  and that's just for buying myself items - let alone buying extras for trade & for my girls.. ei yei yei

I think the number from last year, if you were to buy ONE of every costume that came out was 25,000..... I need 3 of everything... 4 if I want to trade it.... although DD has almost 5000 credits herself!!!

So does this mean it is unlikely that we will see any costumes or other Halloween items released until the last two weeks of October? :guilty:

Nobody knows for sure if it will all be the same or not. The costumes were the last week last year, but the halloween furnishings were out early in the month.

I agree with the costume part prices except to confirm that the hats
were 1000 credits. I remember Cowboy, Indian headdress and Mansion top
hat being double the price of the shirts, pants and shoes.

Of course, I'm looking forward to the "neverending Halloween on Main Street"
again this year. ;) For those just joining us since Halloween, we were all
excited to see the Main Street rooms decorated for Halloween. But when
Halloween ended, the decorations were still up. I don't remember how long
it took for VMK to change Main Street back to normal, but I was singing,
"It's beginning to look a lot like Halloween..."

Briar, you are so right! It got to be a VMK joke about halloween decor being up for the holidays! But remember how amazed we all were when we first saw the Halloween stuff on Main St. It was such fun!

some of the hats were 1000 some were 500.

cowboy, tiara was 500 each

indian and top hat were 1000.

the princess hat also came out, and it was also 500 credits

I remember the halloween stuff left BARELY in time for christmas LOL. I wonder how long it will be up this year. I believe it was just 1 week before christmas that main street went back to normal.

I have chatted with a few hosts (and VMK_'s) about the lenght the decorations were up last year, and I my feeling is they wont be up as long this year.... Some Hosts have jars filled with Flies from last year.... rofl

I also asked a few hosts if they thought they would be the SAME decorations as last year... and although they were not very forthcoming with information I beleive we shoud see some different things out and about....

I'm honestly tired right now, I have a school open house tonight.
But anyways, I see everyone has listed them. If you'd like to see some screenshots of Main Street when it was decorated please leave a post. :)

Yes those flies in town square were nasty. If you recall, the keeping of the Halloween decorations kind of made sense from a business reason perspective. They were at the time creating the the 2nd phase of the hidden mickey quest. So instead of going back to the original rooms with the original hidden mickey quest from before Halloween, they just changed it to the original rooms with the new hidden mickey quest. I bet they had planned on making that change sooner than later, but delays happen.

That would be cool, if we get another Hidden Mickey Quest. They are so much fun.

I wonder who got all the candy on Main Street.. ;)
What's that? YAVN! Pfft.

The halloween things were for sell for about a month before halloween, so everyone had lots of time to create halloween rooms. But I don't think they will be putting them out so early this year.
