Yes, the costumes were about 25,000 in total BUT don't forget you may also want to buy some decorations, extras, and some to trade later.

Each costume was available for ONLY ONE DAY, correct ?

Different costumes were released on certain days, and with the other costumes, stayed there until the week of/before Halloween was over. For example, the blue dress would be released on Monday with the gold and pink dress and would stay until Halloween. The next day more costumes would be released and stay until Halloween. So they kept adding more costumes as Halloween approached.
