Halloween Info

Just got our thickets for Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party in the mail, I am so excited... we go every year but this is the first time Halowwen is on a Sat... woot woot cant wait!:cool1:

Also available throughout both parks are special Halloween treats, including enjoyable Halloween menu items such as Zero's Ghostly Ghoulash served in a dog dish in honor of Zero, Jack Skellington's beloved pet dog.

Yay! I wanted to get this on our Halloween trip last year but they didn't have it (to my knowledge anyways). I want that dog bowl!! :woohoo:

Sooooooo looking forward to all of the new (& old) Halloween festivities this year!! I really hope that they ARE nightly fireworks meaning extended hours. *fingers crossed*

I am so excited - it sounds like it's going to be great! :)

Hey all, giving this thread a kick start with some questions ;)

We are going to be there from October 12th - 16th and will be attending Mickey's Trick-or-Treat Party on the 15th. It is our first time at DLR during the Halloween season and we're very excited!

Now back to the questions.

First, my younger daughter and I were planning on going as pirates (I'm going for a "poor man's Barbossa") and wanted to know about plastic pistols and swords. I looked at the costume requirements and it talked about not wearing anything that could accidentally hit someone or be mistaken for a real weapon. Have you seen other 'pirates' wearing the pistols or swords or do they get confiscated at the entrance? Should we bother wearing them?

Second question has to do with the fireworks. It does seem to say nightly fireworks, which is very cool and is my hope. But if they just do what they normally do, does the "weekend" fireworks include Friday night?

Last question is, can someone point me to the other Halloween thread someone mentioned?

Thanks in advance for any info you are able to provide and here's to us all having a magically haunted time there!

Well, there have been several Halloween and/or October threads here and they all run together in my mind! Maybe this was the one we were referring to earlier in this thread:

There is nightly fireworks. They have just not been put on the online schedule yet. I called guest services the other day and they confirmed it.
