Can someone fill me in on what goes on during the Halloween Horror Nights? Is it a special ticketed event? Dates, hours? Anything you can add since I've just heard about this. My husband & I are going without the kids this October and I'm trying to decide were to stay and how many days to spend at USF. TIA

Since the dates & a link to prices/tickets has alredy been provided, let me just add: It is a seperately ticketed event. Your Day pass will NOT get you in. Oh & buy them asap - they do sell out as they are "date specific" tickets. The park will close at around 5pm to get ready for HHN - they re-open at 7pm & the fright begins !!

Ok, now on to the good stuff :

Tons of fun stuff !!!!
Last year there were 5 Haunted Houses. Each one more fun than the next - Spooky "scareactors" running around everywhere, "die"-ing to scare you ! (pun intended)
There was TONS of fog (*so thick*) & spooky music throughout the park.
Oh & the Bill & Ted show - not scary , but soooooo funny - don't miss it !!!!!:bounce:

Each island in IOA was made up to it's own spooky theme: Port of Entry was "port of EVIL" & had spooky set-ups everywhere.
Marvel was Island Under Siege & had been taken over by the villians. Toon Lagoon was full of foam & just a lot of fun - there is no way to describe these clowns (they are in neon pink & yellow in the picture provided)
Jurassic Park had been taken over by half dinos & half humans (experiments gone horribly wrong)
The Lost Continent became filled with fog & spooky scareactors, there was no haunted house here, but the guys with chainsaws chasing you made up for it !!!
Suess Landing was not spooky at all, but was the gateway to "Screamhouse" which was the best house (my opinion, your results may vary)

It completely transforms the park & is a ton of fun. If you enjoy a good scare, don't miss this event !
Hope that helps !

Very cool, this is goin to be a must for us!! I know it opens at 7pm but what time does it end? I'm thinking of getting the tickets for the 23rd since it's a school night, maybe will be less crowed?!

On non-peak nights, HHN runs until 12 midnight. On peak nights, it runs until 2 am. Peak nights are usually Fridays and Saturdays.

I was told that Thursday the 16th may be turned into a peak night. This is because Orange Co. schools have that Friday off.

It sounds sooo cool. We already have our tickets for November 1st ~ Can't wait!!!!!

I have a question about tickets for this event...or rather upgrades.
In 2000 I bought 2 two day/two park tickets and only used one day. Can I upgrade these tickets at the ticket booth for Oct 12, or do I have to buy new tickets?
I probably can't but, could I upgrade my present tickets online?

I'd hate to spend extra money when I already have tickets. Sigh.
