Halloween Horror Nights

I don't think so, the Sweet 16 was my first year. I forget if it was there then.

The first one was in 2001 and the second one was in 2002. It's like twisted fairy tales, it's fun!

I'm glad they're having a lot of scarezones again, they were lacking in that area last year. Asylum in Wonderland sounds interesting.

They better have chainsaws this year! I would die without them!

One of my older sisters has a thing for running into mirrors, so Reflections of Fear is probably going to be hilarious. XD
I've already made a rule with all of my sisters: I'm never going to be in front when we walk though a house!

Goodness I could never bring myself to go into a haunted house.

ITA! I can't either, I don't even wanna go to it, rofl.
But, there's something out there for everyone, I guess.
Thats just one of the things that isn't for me though!

Haha, I find the atmosphere and everything so thrilling. They put so much detail into everything. I'm convinced I'm just weird though, I've liked this event ever since I was 8. XD

Okay, I'm bumping this up. :p

So basically all we talk about at school around this time of year is HHN. xD Everybody is so excited to go. I'm one of the only ones in my class whose already been before haha. But I told everyone to watch the commercial and my friend saw it and then left me 12 voicemails about it. I was like, "GEEZ!" And I've seen a couple billboards too. But I heard that there were a lot more but then all these moms made them take them all down or something.

My cousin and I are trying to find a definite date to go...she wants to go closer to Halloween, but I don't know. I'm sure that's a pretty busy time to go, but actually now that I think about we usually go a couple days before Halloween every other year. xD So I don't know. I might go twice this year actually, once with my cousin and once with my class. Definitely with my cousin, it's just tradition, lol. It wouldn't feel right without her. xD

Yay you bumped it! :p

I'm soo soo excited, it starts a week from Friday! I'm going opening night. I already have a Frequent Fear Pass, so I'll probably be there often. XD
Oooh if you're going closer to Halloween, I'll be there too! I've got family visiting Halloween week and it'll be their first time ever going to HHN. I've actually heard that around Halloween is not that bad.

I jumped the first time I watched the commercial, when she came through the mirror.

I saw some pictures of the scarezones, they look awesome!

Oh you're going opening night?? Awesome! You have tell us [well..me xD] all about it! With the Frequent Fear Pass do you get to go to all the front of the lines for the Haunted Houses? I think that's what my cousin had last year.

Well that's good about Halloween time. I'll have to tell that to my cousin. We're probably going to decide on a date this weekend.

Yeah haha I was laughing for some reason at the commercial at first, the guy sounded funny. xD But then I saw her on the other side I was like .

Cool! Where did you see them?

Yes, I'll have to tell you since no one else here goes. XD
With the Frequent Fear Pass you can go on all non-peak nights, like Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. But opening weekend is included. You have to have Express to go to the front of the lines for the houses. I think we'll be getting Express for one of the nights this year.

The pictures are here! :teeth:

Ahh, that's cool! If I had that I'd probably be going every weekend. xD

That's awesome! I can't wait! :hyper:

Ok, so this little trip report is for you Elsie! :goodvibes (Or anyone else that's interested, though I doubt anyone is.)

So, we left the house at about 5:45 PM, after waiting in line to park and walking in, got there around 6:30 PM. I guess they had already done opening scareamonies, if they had any this year, so I was a little sad about that. But they have this really cool LED monitor in the archway that shows a really creepy video of Bloody Mary. Sorry I didn't get any pictures of it! We went on through the metal detectors and in through the front gate, and saw all the fog. First scarezone was Path of the Wicked. I didn't get any pictures of this, either! :headache: They had a tin man wandering around, munchkins, a wicked witch in a tower, and these really cool flying monkeys going back and forth on bungee cords above your head! We went on to our first house of the night.

P9260244.jpg

This house was pretty cool, it had the whole redneck theme going on. There was this alien creature thingy towards the end I think. I don't really remember much of what went on in this house because there was a lady behind me holding onto my arms the whole time and freaking out, so I was laughing throughout the whole house. There was a scareactor that was like "Thems be creatures!" Oh, and when you first go in it smells kind of like dirt, then it smells like that burning smell on Spaceship Earth. And you hear gunshots throughout the house.

Oh, a little note! Some houses have their queues in a soundstage, because of the coaster construction. So I'm sure that will come in handy on a rainy night.

Next house was...
P9260245.jpg

I really liked this house! It had some awesome effects! There were scareactors screaming "Hurry up! Get out!" They used that catwalk effect like they did in Dead Silence last year and there is a room where the floor feels like it's going to fall out from under you, like at the end of Twister! It was a lot of fun!

I apologize, this is where some of the pictures start to get a little blurry. It was a combination of not wanting to use flash so I don't blind scareactors and the fact that while I was trying to hold the camera still a scareactor would come up to me.

P9260246.jpg

While I was trying to take this picture, a scareactor from Streets of Blood came up to me holding a heart and was like "Do you have any money?" And I was getting surrounded while trying to take the picture. Anyway, onto the house. This house was great! Had gore of course, after all, it's Body Collectors! :p Right before you enter the house, there's this lady telling you not to go in, and the guy in front of me laughed at her, so she looked at me and said with a completely straight face "He thinks I'm joking." There were tons of scareactors in this house, plenty of the guys in the masks, known as "the Gentlemen". The spine scene was cool! The only thing was that the people in front of us were flashing pictures and posing throughout the whole house, and you're not supposed to. It got really annoying. And while the line was stopped because they were posing, there was a group of guys behind us and one of them grabbed onto the back of my neck really hard for some reason, it still hurts today. But I still loved this house, despite all of that!

After we got out of that house, we wandered through Streets of Blood and onto Mummy. After we got off I wanted to take a picture of this cool carriage thing.
P9260248.jpg

It'll look better when you see it IRL. XD

P9260249.jpg

So when you first enter this house, there's this guy with a chainsaw running back and forth through the line. So if I didn't move out of his way, he would've run into me, chainsaw and all. There was a scareactor in one of the rooms that had half an arm, and he was saying "Quick, get out of here before you end up like me!" I thought this house was really cool! And at the end there's this guy on stage singing, and another guy with a chainsaw to chase you out of course.

After that house we ran into some of my favorite people: the chainsaw drill team! We spent a while in this area. XD My mom went to the bathroom, so I was sitting on a ledge waiting for her to come out. One of the chainsaw guys sat next to me. While I was waiting for her to come out I got this video.

Some pictures of them.

P9260251.jpg

I took this right as he ran away, so I got a sort of cool ghost effect. XD

And another video of them leaving.

http://s4.photobucket.com/albums/y112/fullhousfan91/HHN 08/?action=view&current=P9260255.flv

After they left we walked over to the next house...
P9260256.jpg

saw that it was a 75 minute wait and said "Ummm...no." SO, to the next house we go.

P9260257.jpg

This house was awesome! It was neon and had stobe flashes throughout the whole house! In the beginning you see the guy that was from the website, one of the Dr.'s case files. In the end, well, I don't want to give it away, but :sad1: There's this really cool room where all around you are heads hanging everywhere, it looked kind of creepy!

We got out of the house and ran into some zombies. Similar to the chainsaw drill team, just without chainsaws. XD

P9260258.jpg

P9260259.jpg

P9260260.jpg

Then we went on the Simpsons, fun as always.
P9260262.jpg

And then over to the Fractured Tales scarezone, in Kid Zone. You know Peter Peter Pumpkin Eater? Yeah, well, the pumpkin ate Peter.
P9260264.jpg

P9260263.jpg

This was my favorite house of the night! Tons of fairy tales twisted into nightmares. There's a few scenes that stuck out in my mind, the Alice in Wonderland one, The Wizard of Oz one, where the Scarecrow has Dorothy tied to a stick, and the Little Red Riding Hood one, she's in a bed eating the wolf. Also, make sure you look up in the last room with all of the strobes, you'll see the Evil Queen! There were a couple guys with their girlfriends in line behind us talking about how they were interviewed and how they're so famous now and made out with every girl at HHN. I assume he was drunk. Then he was up against me like the whole house, very uncomfortable. XD

We left that house and went to the next one.
P9260265.jpg

For some reason I don't really remember much about this house, probably because it was the last house of the night. And because the guys in line in front of us kept farting. :crazy2:  I do remember that it was good, and smelled like dirt though. Oh, and this one had some hanging heads too that you have to push past, and one of them hit me in the eye. XD

After that we saw Bill & Ted. There was Miley/Hannah, but not really anything of the Jonas Brothers. They killed Miley/Hannah, and as she was dying she said "Take the Jonas Brothers!" That was their only mention throughout the whole show. At first I was like "Oh man!" but then I was like "Wait, that's a good thing that they're not being made fun of."

We walked through Central Park, and they have this really cool scarezone that has 400 pumpkins lit up and lined along the walkway. The shots I got of it are blurry, because I didn't use flash, but I think they came out pretty cool!

P9260266.jpg

P9260267.jpg

P9260268.jpg

Again, while I was taking this picture, scareactors came up to me.

We went through The Skoolhouse scarezone after that. I didn't get any pictures, but it's decorated very nicely! And you can walk through the miniature house!

Then we walked through the Asylum in Wonderland scarzone.

We left after that and we were starving, so on the way home we stopped at McDonald's for a midnight drive-thru run.

And that is the end of my exhausting, yet fun night!
Phew, I hope you enjoyed this Elsie! (And anyone else that might have read, for some reason.) XD
Let me know what you think of the event when you go!

YAY MANDY!!
It was so awesome! Thank you so much! :teeth:

It looks like so much fun! I'm soo excited, eep! :hyper:
My friend's older brother was there last night too, wonder if he saw you.

I love the chainsaw gang, they're so awesome. xD That's funny that one of them sat next to you.

And that stinks you didn't get to go in Bloody Mary. Those long waits.

My brother would die in that Dead Exposure house, haha he hates zombies. xD I like their bats. :rotfl:

Scary Tales looks cool! I'll be sure to look for the Evil Queen. :teeth:

Ahh well thanks for telling me that their isn't much about JB. I would've been on the edge of my seat the whole time. xD

It looks AWESOME this year!! When do you think you'll go again?

So I've officially collected some Burger King cups for money saving. xD

Thank you for actually reading all of that!

Hmm, that would be funny if we saw each other and we didn't know it! XD

The chainsaw guys pone. He was just sitting there for a while and I was like "Umm" but it was hilarious to watch everyone walk past and realize he had a chainsaw and freak out. They were standing at the exits to the bathrooms waiting for people to come out. :rotfl:

Yeah, long waits suck. Anything that's longer than 45 minutes is a no go for me! XD I'll have to see it next time.

Well then that would be all the more reason to make him go in! :teeth: I'm just evil.

I was anticipating the whole time! I was like "Are they going to mention JB?" But I have to admit I laughed when they blew up half of Miley's face. XD

I'll probably be going again either October 9th or the 16th. And then the 26th and maybe even the 30th.

So I've officially collected some Burger King cups for money saving. xD

You have made me crave Burger King now...at 3:30 in the morning.

Haha yeah, I've had lots of funny moments with the chainsaw guys. They're awesome.

Yep that's pretty much the longest I'll wait too. xD

Haha, I would totally make him go in if I could actually convince him to go to HHN at all! Don't worry, I'm evil too. xD

Haha it's okay, I would of laughed too...:rotfl: Now I'm excited to see it...

Oh okay. I think I'm going the 24th or the 25th...if not then the 17th or the 18th. I don't think my mom would let me go on a Thurs. night. :guilty: But if I do go on a weekday it'll be the 23rd since my cousin has off the next day. But I don't have off, so I don't know if my mom will go for it. xD And I may also go Nov. 1st...

Aww sorry Mandy! I would give you some but I ate it last night.

I have been going to Halloween Horror Nights and Howl-o-scream[busch gardens] since I was 7 lol. Now I just go with friends and we hit on all the actors[that are cute....] :goodvibes
hahaha.
I am actually not going this year because, the day my friends are going to howl-o-scream I will be doing UCF's/Rosen College college tours/open house, and will be at Disney that night. :goodvibes
& none of my friends want to drive over to orlando, since it will be 2 or 3 by the time we get out, and its a 2 hour drive home. :/
Oh welllll. Hopefully I will be living there next year. :goodvibes

I loved your mini-TR mandy!!!
sucks that you got stuck with farty/grabby weirdos all around you all night!!!!!

I've never been to HHN, as I've never been to FLA in october, but they have something similar (though not as high-quality) at Canada's Wonderland, I went last yr with some people from work...and it was SOOOOO fun!!!

I'm going next friday with a bunch of friends & my BF.
