Pete mentioned that you can buy an express pass for HHN's. Does anyone know if you get front of the line access on a hard ticket event if you stay in one of the Universal hotels?

Also, I think I hear someone mention on last years podcast that you can avoid the areas where people confront you - it didn't bother me too much the first time I went but I was with my mother. I would feel a little creepy by myself.

She HATED it - love the ET ride but at one point a ghoul came up to me and started pushing her wheelchair, while I walked around in front of her. The look on her face when she turned around was sheer terror - she was not happy with me. I had to figure out a way to get back to the front without going through that section again. I don't think I did - so I had to push fast.

Thx

Hey Robind. No you can't use hotel FOTL for anything at the HHN event.

It's hard to say how they will arrange the park year to year. But usually there is always a 'chicken exit' you can use to avoid the scare zones. You just may have to double back and take a longer route.Just check out the map's when they come online, before you go, and plan your route.

Some years, it is impossible to avoid a scare zone. When HHN is at IOA, it's impossible.

That's actually really cool a scareactor started pushing your mom's chair. I'm sure it wasn't for her, but the look on her face must have been priceless.

Lorax is correct....FOTL for hotel guests does not extend to HHN. I would strongly recommend buying the Express passes and going on an off-peak night.

No one knows if there will be scare zones this year but since it's at the Studios, it shouldn't be too hard to navigate around them...but we will have to wait and see.

Oh, I have so always wanted to go to Hollywood Horror nights! I envy you guys!

I go every year to HHN.

We always go on a Saturday and we alsways get the Express pass. The Express pass makes all the difference. The first year I went, we did not get it. We only made it to 4 of the seven houses (wait times were 120 minutes to 180 minutes.)

This is not unusual. There are also shows to see ( there were three last year) and of course the sacre zones which I have always thought were cool. I would highly recommend the Express pass but don't wait to buy it. They sell out quickly for the high traffic nights like Friday and Saturday.

It ends up costing you about $150 for the whole night but it is worth it. They seem to do better each year.
