Halloween Horror Nights 2010?

I know we are in the minority, but since I have small kids, I don't want to go to HHN. How do you think the crowd levels will be at IOA on Halloween?

Thanks!

Terri

I suspect that the crowds might be heavy at IOA this year. But that opinion is based more on the opening of WWoHP instead of the impact of HHNs.

I heard that it's because the people leaving B&T's head to the nearest hh, which is the Jaws queue house.
This.

And also because for *some* reason, highly anticipated houses have been put there (Bloody Mary, Saw). Those houses, imo, failed to deliver more often than not.

"The cursed Jaws que houses".The only one that was any good in the past few years was Jason. And that was marginal.

we waited almost 2 hours to get into the jason house and at the end of the house i ended up getting soaked when they dumped the water as you left - was not a happy camper

Actually, I liked the Saw house last year, even though it wasn't my favorite. The main problem with Saw was that many of the scenes were timed and so it was possible to miss many of the scenes on a pass thru.

You should have no problem being there for it, they usually start at the end of September, and yes i would not bring any kids younger than 12.

Like Patster I too believe IOA will be more crowded than in the past based on the Harry Potter crowds. If HHN is staged at the Studios again this year, you won't even know it's going on at IOA...there will be decorations or props.

Oh man, oh man!
Just read every single post. All ready excited! Gonna be there for opening weekend, again, third consecutive year. Can´t wait for the Irish beers at Finnegan´s! :thumbsup2

Does anyone know how much it cost last year per person per night to go to the Halloween Horror Nights at universal studios?

non peak nights cost less than peak nights.
" " 6:30 pm to midnight
some wed, thur, sundays

peak nights 6:30pm to 2:00 am
fridays and saturdays.

last year discounts were available for hhn tix if you held an AP.
and there was a general discount for anyone for opening weekend of Fri and Saturday.

FFP/ frequent fear pass went on a discount for ap holders also.
this pass is valid for all non peak nights.

the EPP/ express pass plus never had discounts.

what i paid last year might not be the same as others paid as i ordered my tickets for hhn online thru the AP website.

what night of the week are you planning on going?
do you have the ap?

let us know and i could tell you what the rate was last year for your coming time period.

mac - me too?;) do u remember how many discounted tix an AP holder could purchase via calling? Im wondering if the mr can get them for me & the boy too?

i posted this earlier in thread, price i paid in '08, was it much different last year?

PAP 1st 3 Fri or Sun = $29.99+ (save $40)
Frequent Fear = $54.99 + (save $15)

Guess what? I found my HHN folder from last year!

Sunday-Thursday: $29.99 + tax

i put on my reading glasses:rolleyes1fine print on mailer from '08 sez:

Limit 6 Halloween Horror Nights tickets per active Premier or Preferred Annual Pass. Savings based off front gate prices. Cannot be combined with any other offers, discounts, promotions or upgrades.

I don't know what AP is but I know i am not one. We will be at the Disney world resort from Sept. 18th -28th so any one day they have it while we are there we just don't know the exact dates it will be there yet? Any idea what it would be for a nondiscounted ticket? Thanks for the info:)

AP = annual pass; either preferred or premier.

Last year, I believe that the non-discounted HHN tickets were $69.99, regardless of the night. However, if you had a day ticket, you could purchase a 'Stay and Scream' ticket at a reduced price. Those prices last year were $29.99, Sunday thru Thursday nights; $49.99, Friday night; and $59.99, Saturday night.

You could get those tickets 3 ways: from the website when ordered in conjunction with the day ticket; by calling the Universal tickets number (if you had already purchased day tickets previously, I believe that you needed your ticket confirmation number when ordering); or at HHN ticket booths inside the park.
