Halloween Headless horseman is gone

We were there in 2003 and the headless horseman was soooo cool! But you're right he went so fast I didn't have time for a photo! Does anyone have one to post?? Oh, yea, that horse was HUGE! :earseek: CDSTapisRouge any additional info on Ike...does he do anything else during the rest of the year???

Thank goodness! We would have been so disappointed if the headless horseman was gone for good.

We always watch the old Disney cartoon version of Sleepy Hollow, (think it's The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad), on the drive down for the party.

The headless horseman is the best part.
He's a little spooky, but that's what makes if FUN!

The headless horseman ran through about 10 minutes before the 2nd parade on 9/30. We were in Frontierland and the played the story over the load speakers. At the conclusion of the story he came riding through.

Thanks! I'm glad to know we can hear the story in case we don't see the storyteller in person.

::MickeyMo We were also at the castle Hub for the 10 pm parade on 9/30 and saw the Headless Horseman. Well, kinda, LOL, he came and went so fast that I barely got a glimpse. :confused3 Rebecca

To the OP, did it rain the day you say he didn't appear? Because I know if it's raining or sometimes even wet, they won't have him appear because it's too slippery & dangerous. This happened to us last year. We were quite bummed.

I'm glad he will go at a slower pace this year, but I've always been leary of trying to take his picture. I wonder if the flashes bother the horse. I know they've had blinders on him in the past.

does he go the entire parade route?

We were there Friday night 9/30 for the 8pm parade and the Headless Horseman indeed rode. We were right in front of the castle and he came through a good 10 minutes or more before the rest of the parade. He has indeed slowed down too - at least since 2001. It was great to see him...but if you weren't paying close attention it wouldn't have been too hard to miss him. DH caught him with the camcorder - I think I can pull a picture and post it....I will try.

I wnt to MNSSHP on friday and he was not in the parade when I asked a CM he told me he was to scary so they removed him. I was dissapointed because I never seen it before.[/QUOTE

HE IS NOT GONE!!! We went Friday the 30th and he rode out 9 minutes before the parade was supposed to start. He came out of nowhere without announcement, but he rode by, same as always. I guess you just missed him this time.

We were lucky enough to have seats in the VIP section (bridge to Liberty Square) for the 10p parade on 10/2. He stops on that bridge before his queue to continue on. Got this great picture. The flash caused his eye to glow which makes it kinda spooky!
