I was wondering when the halloween decorations go up as my friends and I are going on the 21st of September and to be honest I'm not that keen on the pumkinmen, etc. I mean, I've never been there when they've been up, but I think it's the idea of them that I'm not keen on. Dp they spoil the beauty of the park a bit? Hmmmm. :confused3

In my opinion, the Halloween decorations (including the pumpkin men and women) only add to the look of the parks where they are added :goodvibes. They are not placed everywhere, but will be in abundance in Frontierland and Main St. On your dates in September, you may see a few pumpkins dotted around, but most of the decorations go up, more day by day, from late September, so that from the first Saturday in October or thereabouts, everything is ready for Halloween season proper to begin.

When we walked through the entrance last year and saw all the pumpkin men and women lining the streets, I thought it was one of the most fantastic things I had ever seen. They do really add to it, not spoil the look.

Depends if you like that sort of thing though.

i love the halloween decorations. from pics i can see that it looks like they are right in your face but when you are there they are placed so well. also its only frontierland and main st get them i mean its not like they are all over the castle that would be terrible lol

Im going 30th September - 2nd October and really hope theres decorations up. Will make it that extra bit special.

I couldn't agree more, we loved the Halloween season.

Hi,

I have never been at Halloween but it is certainly on my wish list, the decorations only want to make me go more.

We went 28th Sept - 2nd October last year and the decs were up - Pumpkinmen especially in Frontierland but as the days went by, and certainly on our last day I think pretty much all of it was up. I wasn't too keen before I went and thought it might scare DD1 (she has a v active imagination for a 3 year old!) but actually they were great and not really scary or anything :goodvibes

hey, i was a little unsure of the halloween theme when i was going last year. but i looooooooooooooveeeeeeeeeddddddd it, it was extra special and got some great photos

We visited in October last year and I loved the halloween decs, they were amazing and really added to the magic :goodvibes Having visited at several other times of the year I've got to say halloween was my best, it was so much fun :)

Wow, ok. Maybe I underestimated the decorations!! Sounds like everyone loves them :-) Well, maybe next year I should book to go at Halloween then. Thanks for your replies!!

that's a great reason to book another trip ;) I have never enjoyed a trip as much as I did our halloween one, even my dh who usually refers to DLP as disney boot camp enjoyed the trip and was sad to come, it was the best

IMHO Halloween is definately the best season, I love the decorations.

Has anyone noticed in the brochure, under the bit about MNSSHP tickets, the wording

"For the first time ever, seize the exclusive chance to see Fantasyland dressed up in a Halloween theme"

I am so tempted :rolleyes1
