Halloween Cruise questions

We sailed this past October and felt that the ocean was calmer than when we sailed in March 2016.

But it is the luck of the draw. If a weather system comes in, you'll have rough seas.

You never know! One week it might be amazing, the next it's a hurricane. We loved our Halloween cruise (there's a link to my trip report in my signature). Highly recommended if you're a Halloween fan.

Weather is always unpredictable. That said, we've done Halloween on The HIGh Seas 5 times now (Fantasy) and weather has always been just fine.

I think they said it best above, "it's the luck of the draw." We did our first and only Halloween cruise this year. Now granted it was a rough hurricane year but I thought the seas were still terribly rough. I have been on 3 May cruises with no issues but I about lost it in October. I had to skip dinner one night because I was so dizzy. There were times when I had to brace myself in the hallways. And watching the curtain sway back in forth in the theater made me really uneasy. We will never cruise October again because I won't chance it. With that being said, I realize we may have bad luck one May but I'd rather take my chances on the familiar going forward.
