Oh yeah, the Mike's Lime are yummy! But this is new. A little more concentrated than the regular, with the blended ice like a lemon slushy with a kick. Tasty! ...Hey, that gives me an idea.

Okay - I am trying the Frozen Mikes right now and I must say it is pretty good. I saw that they have the original and a margarita flavored one. Has anyone see any other flavors?

We have temps in the low 80's today and very nice. It is a little windy, which is making it difficult to rake the leaves, but I will get by. No docs for us today, but I am sure the dancing  will begin next week.

Hey GDAC- It's halftime (watching OSU spank BGSU), so I thought I'd lurk a bit.

I did see the "Mike-a-rita" flavor too...think we'll try that next. I'll let you know what we think of those. Sounds like perfect weather in your parts!

Yeah - I saw Ohio State was rolling again today - Congrats. Another tough loss for my Gophers :sad2: , but there is always next year!! I sure hope Indiana comes to the Dome this year, we might have a chance to win that game. I am really interested in the "Mike-a-rita", as I love lime Margaritas, but I bought the other (original) flavor because I figured LaRue would like that better.

Jen- I'd say you are packing way more than I am! :goodvibes I'm trying to choose things that I can repeat like shoes and skirts to minimize what I take. I'm sort of a "plain jane". I wear that same jewelry everyday. I live in my flip flops, and have a very simple hairstyle. Seriously, I'm going to try to get by with 2 suitcases, a garment bag, and carry on for all 4 of us ! I'm sure many of you think that's just crazy, but we have managed with less than that on prior vacations....so well see!
I used the hair dryer in the bathroom and it did the job. It was not as good as home but when I am on vacation I never seem to really care all that much and plus the tropical weather makes my really straight hair even straighter. Argghhh!

Sounds like we have the same packing style. Two big suitcases for us and a rolling carry-on and a back-up for me and each of the girls. (I am sure GDAC is going to chime in that he ended up carrying everything and yes he did)

Three weeks from now and we will be having a party!

I did have to carry everything. I ended up carrying the two large suit cases, plus a carry-on, plus two pink "Hello Kitty" back packs, plus it was up-hill both ways :rotfl2:

You and your dh are too funny....up hill both ways, huh GDAC? :rotfl:

LaRue, I wish my hair would go straight!! Mine goes the other way....frizzzzy! YUCK! I'm sure I'll have mine up in a clip everyday!

Ditto with the wild hair. I did not take a hair dryer on our first cruise. However with this mop on my head (very thick and curly/frizzy) I think I could have styled it faster with one of the kids blowing on it. Therefore, a hairdryer for me is a necessity. My sister on the other hand has almost the same hair and never blowdries.........just up in the clip.

I purposfully do not plan on having carryons because my MIL buys so much stuff that she can't put it all in the luggage. Hence, we all carry all her stuff home! Thank goodness that she can't bring home booze on the plane anymore........the poor kids were exhausted carrying all of Nana's Grey Goose home last year! (That could be cause for therapy someday  ) Good thing I really like her.

I called today for prices on upgrades. The ship seems pretty open to me, I hope it is a small crowd!

Back to my homework.

Do they have any good deals going with the upgrades???? I am guessing not. Good luck with the homework. It has been my experience in the past, that homework, or any work for that matter is so much easier when your team wins. Good job Buckeyes!!!! :cheer2:

We're like most folks - and we love a bargain!
Only difference with us is I think we drive a hard bargain on things and "fish" throughly...
Or, at least we try to...

Last time on the 16th sailing they had a wide open ship with DOUBLES and TRIPLES available to book in 12 to 4 (except cat 5). AND, they had quads in about half the catagories from 11 to 4. Then at about 4 days or a week or so before the sailing the Disney on line reservation system showed the ship as sold out. We all wondered how on earth they had sold out the ship with less then a week to go? We speculated at length on all sorts of things. In the end we think the ship sailed undersold... and that the stories drift all over the map - in part to conceal DCL marketing methods IMO. So my final opinion based on verious sources (some contradictory) is that the ship sailed with 2000 passengers... less then the capacity of 2600. It had a number of cabins sold to cast members. More then normal but not dramaticly so. I heard that CAST could buy a veranda for $600 or 700 per person from someone - but that was 2nd hand info and should be considered a "rumor" only. Pardon me for continuing a potentially unfounded rumor.

SO... DO I think the ship was sold out? I tend to think it had every cabin sold. I asked around and was told there were no cabins to transfer to once aboard... but I do know of at least one person who DID transfer their cabin. Not sure why they got it though. On our last sailing in 2005 we got a cabin transfer.

So... did I also mention the system showed we could BUY an upgrade from a 12 guarantee to a 9 for $250? Naturally we jumped on it but after about 15-20 mintures on the phone the CM came back to apolagize. They had an error on their system and the $@50 upgrade was not available and inventory control would not approve it. I spoke to two managers and got no relief. Oh well.

On our past sailings we had ONE opportunity to upgrade at the pier and the $250 offer that was not real sounded like the right amount for a pier side upgrade froma 12 to a 9. And as I recollect it was about 5 or 6 to a veranda. THAT is much cheaper then booking in advance - but we've only seen it once in 4 sailings - and on one of the 4 we did not ask as we had been given a free upgrade from a 9 to a 6 on that sailing.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Tom

PS.... my latest "bargain"... a near 4' diameter inflatible bumper boat with electric motor and electric water pistol for the pool or ...???.... ocean? I saw this at the local Sharper Image for $90 and thought I would not mind having 2 of these for our pool... but $180+ tax was a lot. Then I saw them marked down to $40 and thought - now I'll get them. But without the kids around. When I went back a whole stack of them had sold over nite. RATS! Then last nite I saw them on ebay throught the Shareper Image outlet auction. I picked one up (like new - refurbished) for .... afre you ready?..... $17.95 ... plus shipping of $5.95! This think is a huge and somewhat heavy box. What a bargain. And on a second note... my latest NON-bargain was todays Christies' auction of Star Trek studio props (the 1st time ever done). The 8' long model of the Star Trek Enterprise from the Movie series sold for only $240,000 as did the Klingon Bird of Prey starship. And Dr McCoys' space suit from the Original Series sold for $120,000. I was in the market for a Klingon costume... but it went for a lot more then I was willing to pay... about 8,000. I have a nice non-studio Anakin costume that has cost me about $300 so far... and Alicia has a skin tight Padame costume that cost me only $30. Very authentic given the price. CLearly they are not Halloween grade. So... $8000 was out of my "bargain huntin'" budget. I might have gone $400 or near 500. What was I thinking?.... since 3 costumes sold for 8,000 or so. Now a 2nd consideration was for a set of 3 vulcan honor guard costumes which sold for $4500. That was only $1500 per costume... but again, it was beyond my budget and not really on my wish list. At this point all I'm likely to get is a Christies auction catalog of the Star Trek sale for $60.

Grand Cayman, Cozumel, or Costa Maya without spending half a day looking.....He just did without :sad2:

We wore shorts on board in November last year! Definitely not too cold. If flatlanders like us can say that, I am sure that you cold weather folk willbe completely comfy.

So, I get home after a full day of running around and sit down to relax & see what's been up here today. All the talk about Mike's made me go to the grocery store. I couldn't find the lemonade type, so I bought the Mikearita. Pretty good if I do say so myself! I put 6 oz in my bullet, topped it off with ice & blended away. Poifect!

Thanks for sending me to the store guys.....

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: LOL, Well we will sure be able to pick you out at the port!!!!LOL :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
