Jen, hope Olivia does okay today. I know that can be quite painful. :grouphug: BTW....I love The Office too! Unfortunately, I missed it last night :( Was it good? How did they handle "the kiss"?

We also saw The Lion King when it was touring here a few years back and loved it. I think we are going to see Annie in January. I still love that show. I'm sure I'll be singing "Tomorrow" & "It's a hard knock life" for days afterwards....

Missy, have fun at Momma Mia. Sounds like a nice mother/daughter date.

The kiss......well it was awkward and hilarious!

I remember seeing Annie when I was young with my mom! I took my daughter when she was 6. About 3 years ago it was here again and I kept my then kindergartener out of school and we saw a FREE morning show, in the front row! He could see in the orchestra pit and everything. I can't remember why it was free but it was general admission and there was a lot of people with various disabilities and a couple of classes of school kids. Keep your ears open for that.

Yup, it's a mother/daughter date for Mamma Mia.......she came home asking me if we could go. Since we just took the boys to the OSU home opener (not cheap!) how could I turn her down?

We have also seen Cirque......the kids haven't but they would love it. It's just so darn expensive to take everyone at once.

Have a great day everyone.

Missy

Hi! Olivia did great. I can't believe they start prepping 9 year olds for braces. I didn't have braces until High School but I think that was a little too late.

Bucki you and sloopy are funny. ABBA was a fabulous 70's band, But my FAVORITE was Captain and Tennile!

The kiss........... Pam said she couldn't do that and she was going to still get married. :guilty: Jim transferred BUT Pam didn't get married!! :woohoo: I think of every character on t.v. I wish I were friends with Jim and Pam. Love them and love their humor!

There's a question (as silly as it may be); who would you choose, of all these shows we watch, to be friends with?

As far as Meredith and Derek .......come on?! I couldn't be the only woman that felt like "oh sure now that she found a nice guy (vet) Mcdreamy decides to tell her he loves her"? He IS handsome and even makes me swoon a bit  BUT his timing and choices stink!!

Took Olivia to Annie when it was in Boston. I'm not sure who loved it more. Didn't we all think we could sing The Sun Will Come out Tomorrow as good ( if not better) than the real Annie?! I also thought I was one of the von Trapp children :rotfl:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I was replying to Bucki about the the 2 guys kissing when she said "the kiss"............ha ha ha did you think I was crazy? I just think of that show as pure comedy I guess I forget there is a bit of a soap opera element going on.

I know I could sing The Sun will come out much better than Annie! And just to show my age a little more.....my best friend and I would belt out a little Captain and Tenile along with an 8-track tape in her bedroom!

Ok, just wanted to clarify the kiss comment......thanks for helping me out.

Have a great weekend.

Heather,

Wanted to wish TIMMY A HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!

Hope the cake came out great...Poor Heather had to make two cakes today since Jacob ate the first one on her.... :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Heather your a good mother....Hope it came out great and Timmy enjoys it...

Heather,
Happy Birthday to Timmy! How funny that Jacob ate the cake. Well, I'm sure it wasn't too funny to you at first.....but a cute story to tell, right?

Jen & Missy,
OMGoodness.....I had the Tenille haircut!!

So sad I missed The Office. That show is hilarious! I love that there is no canned laughter too. I caught a bit of a radio interview with Steve Carrell (before the season premiere), and they asked him what was going to happen with Jim and Pam....he said "well, I don't want to give away too much, but I can tell you that they are now married and have an 11 year old son." His delivery is so dry and natural. He just cracks me up.....even without speaking sometimes, I just laugh at his facial expressions. And yes Jen, who wouldn't want to work with Jim? Everyday would be fun with him around!

Happy Birthday Timmy!!! :bday:

Happy Birthday Sharvona!! :bday: :cake:

Sloopy and Buckifan- Rick and I have been listening to Abba's Greatest Hits in our car this week!!! Love Dancing Queen.

I am glad to hear that Olivia did good at the Dentist. I know she is happy it is over.

Happy Saturday!!!

party: Happy Birthday Shavonna and Timmy

We just got back from our overnight to Raleigh. The Lion King was awesome :thumbsup2 . The puppetry was well done, the set design was very simplistic yet very dramatic. I loved the opening act when all the animals came out. My favorite characters were Rafiki and Zazu. Scar was also very good. The worst part was the lobby, where 2 t-shirts, 1 soundtrack and 2 small but potent mixed drinks cost $89.00. I absolutely recommend this show to everyone. If it comes to your neck of the woods, take the time (and$$$) to go see it!

The funny thing was when I was packing for the overnight, my DH was complaining about what I packed. He hasn't even seen what I've already packed in the larger suitcases for the cruise. I'm just about ready...is it time to go yet????

Thanks for all the birthday wishes for Timmy!
Hope Shavonna has a great birthday tomorrow!

Tomorrow we are off to the Nascar Race at Dover (Go Jeff Gordon!) It will be a very very long day. We are leaving the house about 5:15 in the morn. I will catch up with everyone on Mon.

Hello Everyone!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. We are in the process of moving to Jacksonville, FL. My husband took a transfer with his job which started the first of September. The kids and I have been down there with him, but now we are finally home to take care of getting our house sold here in IL. While we were in FL, the kids and I went on a 7 night Carnival cruise with my mom and dad. It was fun, but no where close to as fun as the Disney cruise we took last year.

Heather---hope you had fun at the NASCAR race. I was pushing for Jeff Gordon also!!!!! We are hoping to get tickets for the Daytona 500 now that we are moving to FL! This is the first year in several years we did not make it to a race :confused3

Not long now until the big cruise!!

Have a great week!!

Congratulations Shavonna!!!! What a great accomplishment!

Are there any adults who are dressing up for pirate night. It might have been mentioned in the early part of the thread, but I haven't been able to read them all. My DH isn't wanting to dress up, but I am. I just don't want to feel out of place being an adult in a pirate costume!

Melissa

I really want to dress up for pirate night, but the rest of my party is not seeming to into it.. adult wise that is...

I am trying to decide just how far to go!;)

Rick and I will also be dressed up for Pirate's Night. It is soooooo much fun. pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:
