My friends sister worked there for a while and they have been there several times and Janice would not recommend it nor her sister and she was a manager there.............

Interesting. I've heard and read that it's a good time. Olivia's friend Ashley and her mother (who vacation everywhere) loved it. How do you know that the excursions are good? When did you guys do it?

Hi everyone!

I am now getting settled in the new job in Missouri. I just got the computer on Friday and have found that I cannot post anything! I am home for the weekend and have enjoyed spending time with Kim and the kids.

I will be getting an order in for the shirts before flying out in the afternoon. I hope to catch up on the rest of the postings when I have some time in my apartment.

Kim and the kids are still holding down the fort here in Tennessee. We are hoping that the house sells soon.

The costume is soo cute...Wishng I could get my girls to be pirates they tell me they are afraid..So they are going to be tinker belle on priate night..(Go figure they are scared) pirate night will be a ton of fun if they are afraid.....

Well we had a horrible day at Six Flags. Lets just say it is not Disney!!!!!!!!!!

This afternoon we are taking the kids to River Fest with my Dad. I will catch up more tonight!

Did you happen to watch the game last night? I was a good one! Well, for Buckeye fans, anyway...lol. And did you happen to notice the Gophers are going to be in Columbus the day we board? Would you guess they'd be playing any of the Big Ten games on the ship?

Kristin....the dolphin excursion in the bahamas is said to be the best one there is. We saw this on our honeymoon in the blue lagoon. It's said that the interaction with the dolphins is far more extensive. In Anguilla the dolphins are in a tank. In the Bahamas they are in a lagoon or part of the ocean. The other part of the dophin excursion that will drive me crazy is the 45 minute boat ride then the 15 minute bus ride to get there. I'll have no patience for that when it's time to go home. I'm not saying we'll never do it. We are taking the kids with us to Atlantis/ Paradise Island next year. We can do it then. What do you think? Where are you guys going in St martin?

Craig and the kids are cleaning up the beaches in New Port (RI) today as part of a community service. It's COLD today. The kids are in heavy sweatshirts.

We are going to go to the beach in St. Marteen ...what does your mother and Julie want to do..Might be neat for them since they may not have a chance to do it again....

Yes I did watch that game last night, you guys are looking awesome. I am guessing that the Buckeyes are really sweating that game with the mighty Gophers on the 28th. I wonder what the record is for most points scored is? After watching the Gophers last, the Buckeyes might break that record on 10/28. Last year on the Cruise, they let people vote for which games to watch, so I am guessing you won't have a problem seeing it.

Well....

U know I was going to organize penny clusters of like minded enthusiasts to split unlimited internet accounts - but it seems DCL (not surprisingly - based on the other +7 day sailing reports) has suspended the unlimited internet option for our sailing. Oh well... we're not surprised. So - posting a "live from" thread form the sailing would be sort of pricey after a while. Hence my report will come after the sailing. So, we jet on Friday - and that means we're sort of accelerating towards the departure crisis. Fortunately we're 70% packed already.

So - someone on your sailing could still gather a few folks to split an unlimited access account - if done quietly. Say for each cluster of 4 people on one $90 account would each save $67.50 each - or collectively the total saved is $260.

So - I'm still here ... I swing by every now and then! So... I gotta go now. My older daughter wants a little company as she settles for a nap. SO I'm gonna go keep her company for a few minutes before all the girls they go for a baby shower.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes. We are certainly looking forward to this vacation like no other. After 20+ years in the Reserves all my vacation time seemed to get eaten up by training. That one weekend a month and two weeks a year sounded good, but always amounted to much more. So this is the big one, finally. And the boards have only heightened the anticipation. Saw a show on the travel channel about bests today, this one on cruises and listed Disney as the best for family cruises. Duh! But a different showcase rather than the one that airs on that channel frequently. And on again tonight I believe. I'll try to keep active here, but no doubt Deanna is the voice in this relationship.

Welcome Sloopy! Keep in mind we are 11 votes on the ship to watch OSU on board! We were so fired up last night about that game, it was unreal! We went to the opener and that just sets the tone for us. There is no way my husband would miss it, so you will be in good Buckeye company.....someone to finish your "OH"

uh oh.....my husband is telling me that last year the game was not on because the satellite feed on the ship came from New York and did not pick up the Ohio State game. Keep your fingers crossed.

I just switched from the 4 day Wonder (10/29) to the 7 day!!!!!
Because we are FL residents, we are able to get almost the EXACT rate for the 7 day vs. the 4 day ! (minus the $50pp charge for switching ressies)

So... It will take me a few days to read all of these pages so here's a few questions:

Are we still sending our info by the 15th to put together a list of all the DIS'ers on the ship?

Will there be a DIS trick or treat and if so, how do we join?

We have never done a 7 day; only 3 day cruises so I need lots of info.
It will be me, (DH is out of town) my parents; who have never sailed before, and DD's 3 and 5.

The 2 shore excursions we are considering are the "Under 2 Flags tour" and 12-metre Regatta. Am I crazy for thinking about doing this one? I have never sailed and the most exercise I get is walking across the parking lot to get to Starbucks.

In the post #1, you'll find an e-mail address for Kristen and Heather. E-mail either one of them and let them know that your kids would like to participate. The Sept 15 deadline is only for signing up for the trick-or-treat and ordering goodies (T-shirts & wristbands). I'm sure you can supply them with any other information you would like later! When you e-mail them, they will also send you the link to the website that they have set up for us!

Sorry, I can't help with those two excursions, but there are some veterans here that I'm sure can help!

The 12 meter regatta....

... it looks to be rather cool as an activity. I would consider it except my spouse can get sea-sick on any boat smaller then 2 football fields in length! But here's a couple pictures to get your pulse going...
