Good Morning to all!

No school today in Hillsborough County, it's "fair day". :lmao:

XLT told me about a news report last night on the fair......several kiddie rides didn't pass inspection due to MISSING BOLTS! Would YOU take your child? I think not!

Guess I'll stay home until time to take Kel to gym and pretend I'm XLT ( :surfweb: )

Has anyone noticed.....

... that we are up to 45 people responding on the poll? However we have only about 35 posting to the thread. SO that implies we have about 10 silent lurkers out there without adjusting for errors (I know of at least one in catagory 1) and so on.

I know 9 of the names that have responded that are not on this cruise, I think they came over to check us out and decided to respond to the poll.

Crash....Hope you have a great cruise

As for all this romance stuff......I have to say if I wrote a letter to Fran or did anything serious she would think that I was having an affair. I am not sure I have ever given her a serious card. You can probably tell by my posts that I am not a serious person. I have been VERY fortuneate that except for Fran's dad passing that I have never experienced sickness or death to anyone close to me.

Well that is as serious I get!!! So back to the Fun :cool1: :cool1:

Hope everyone has great plan's for the weekend.

We are going to Altamonte Springs which is North of Orlando for gymnastics meet and hopely just relaxing on Sunday.

  Welcome to Missy. Glad you stopped lurking.

Dave

Well look who it is :teacher:

I see that you are getting a jump start on the laundry :stir: :stir: :stir:

Just kidding, I know that you are really just going to do a lot of :yay: these today. If you do 1000 of them you do not have to walk tonight

Dave :surfweb:

:furious:

Actually, I did laundry on WEDNESDAY! I'll do it again on SUNDAY!

Today, I am vacuuming.......I know, wonders never cease!

Will THAT burn calories?????? :confused3

Fran
:teacher:

No problems!

And the coffee is all gone! The pot is already in the dishwasher.

I'm looking for things to do to avoid having to walk.............. :sad2:

Well...
.... 2 days to go....

..Hmmm... maybe I should start THINKING about packing?!!!??? :thumbsup2

Dave and Fran you gusy make me laugh so hard...I am on my fifth load of laundry right now...Thinking that the neighbors drop of theirs or something how and where does it all come from....

Ok I told Dh I would not tell anyone about this gift but since we have been on the topic of romanitc letters, etc...Every year for our anniversary well he started at five years...DH writes well continues what he started from years past...a newspaper...It is Title The Guillemette Chronicles...So cute...Each article reviews that year of our life since our meeting...For five years he typed up the whole relationship now every year he adds to it...It includes trips we have taken, home improvements, illenesse, children being born, etc...It is so neat to read what we have done in the past year and how he interprets all of it..For example the year I was prg. with the twins in his article it tells how hard the prg. was on him...HA!!! Hard on him try weighing almost two hundred pounds and having two kids kicking you all of the time..It is so romantic and thoughtfull and takes him so much time to do...I really love getting it every year and reading it...Just wanted to share...

Ok off to put clean sheets on the beds....

tells how hard the prg. was on him...

I agree with him. I know that I gained 20 pounds when Fran was pregnant :rotfl:

I have to say....that is pretty impressive what your dh does. I still think that Fran would look at me funny if I did something like that :confused3 I think after being together for 23 years she is just used to me not being the romantic kind of guy.

Dave

she is just used to me not being the romantic kind of guy.

But you make up for it in other ways....... :lovestruc

But, I have to say, you always treat anniversaries pretty special.

And.....true, if I got a "gooshy" letter from Dave, I'd have a PI all over him "like white on rice".

Fran
:teacher:

Kristin, I love the newpaper idea, that your husband does. Kudos to him! Think of how special that will be for your girls to read when they are grown.

Fran,

I'm sorry to not know... but what does "PI" stand for?

Thanks XTL,

We'll try to have a little more fun everyday because you're encouraging it. Whew! For a moment there I was getting worried... cuz if it were not for your extra encouragement there we MIGHT NOT have had a great cruise but rather we would have had just an "OK" cruise. SO ... thanks for pushing our trip "over the top"! :lmao:

Gonna get out of the house now with the kids. My spouse wants ta take a nap an' it gets real quiet 'round here only if the kids leave with me.

Adios til probably after midnite when I'll wander back to lurk a little... :smooth:

TTFN

Adios,

It's funny how relationships change and evolve after being together for so long. Maybe you SHOULD throw a (romantic) curve ball after 23 years (very impressive).

I am in my early thirties and Craig and I have been together for 20 years(high school, college and thereafter). However, unlike you and Fran we aren't married anymore but we are together(far too complicated for the board but very interesting). So, I guess my point is good for you in these days of ending marriages as easy as quitting a job; you have made it 23 years and still have a great sense of humor and a love I can feel through your playful banter. Like I said above I'm impressed and happy to see that it exists :thumbsup2

BTW we have a blizzard warning up for our area!! I can't wait, I miss the snow!

Well since we are being all mushy I have been with my Hubby since I was 16. WE dated 6 years and we will celebrate our 18th wedding Anniversary March 5th. He still brings me flower's and writes me love note's. :lovestruc

That's so sweet Teri.....and it sounds like he takes you on vacation quite a bit too! Not much to complain about, right?

My dh and I met in college at THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY (GO BUCKS!). We lived in the same dorm (co-ed by floor). I first "spotted" him in the commons, where we ate. Knew right then what I wanted to have for dinner! LOL.....We dated all through college and have been married for 13 1/2 years. I know after all of these years he still totally adores me. That's so cool to feel that way after that long. We are going on an afternoon date today, which we don't get to do very often. Kylie has skating and basketball this morning, then we are taking the kids to my mil's......we'll pick them up again tonight.

I hope I'm feeling better, though. I can feel I'm coming down with a cold, and so I'm up right now taking an airborne to try to get over it quickly. Has anyone else ever tried airborne? They have worked pretty good for me in the past, as long as I catch the cold in it's early stages.

Well, yesterday the kids auditioned for the talent show! I thought Kylie would be afraid to sing in front of that many people, but she did great. They do need a lot more practice, though. Last night we went to the school carnival (inside event), and book fair. I found a book for Kylie called A is for Axel, by Kurt Browning. It's an ice skating alphabet book. Very cute!

Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Deanna, LOVE airborne. We started taking them the day before the flight to Orlando and took them for the rest of the week (while on the cruise). I swear that's why none of us got sick. They don't taste bad either. The kids didn't mind the lemon-lime (only 1/2 tablet). Olivia actually reminded me each day that they needed it!

Airborne I have heard so much about it....Where can I get some I feel like I am getting a cold too....

Deanna,
Have fun on your date and let us know how it goes...Sounds like the kids will have fun at MIL house tooo....

Kristin

Airborne is pretty decent dose of vitamins, etc...I'm not sure that it's helped with my cold, but I know I feel like I'm getting a supershot of vitamin c! You can pick it up at Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, etc., I've used the store brand. It's a yummy way to start the day. I like it in hot water. :)

Kristin, that is very sweet of your husband, and you are so good to treasure it. I bet you two are really great together.

Bucki, glad the talent show audition went well. I'm not surprised!

Scott and I met in college, too, when he was a freshman at UMASS and I was a senior at SCSU, long story, but we're both marching band geeks and brothers in an honorary band fraternity. Met in 1989, married in 1991...married 14 years, and now we're embarking on a new marriage, a new life together...an answered prayer. :fish:

We're in line for that blizzard, too, and since we're on the CT shoreline, we've not had much snow so we're pretty psyched! Especially since it doesn't interfere with our flight Tuesday morning. Now I have NO excuse- I must stay home, clean my house, do laundry and repack. I swear, I'm only taking one carryon for this 10 day KeyWest then RC cruise adventure...I'm just going to have to take some stuff out of the bag to make it fit. I don't really need 20 shirts and four pairs of shoes, do I? *sigh*
