The burnt Gingerbread house photos were taken down some time ago -

And Sugar unfortunately is NOT the best watch dog by any means. He's more likely to take a burglar on a tour of the house and wait in the kitchen to be fed while an unwelcome visitor turns the house upside down looking for things to swipe.

But then again - you never know with a dog. In truth IF an unwelcome stranger came in and WE were home I'm sure he would leap to our defense..Either that or he would interpose his body in trying to "greet" the intruder while we made a get away out a window or door! Heh-hee heh!

K'... gotta go serve up a little breakfast to the little one. The older 4 year old has slipped back into slumber and the little one just nods her head with grunts of "uhh-huh" as to gittin' mornin' vittals! These kids are soooo cute! TTFN...

How is everyone..It is getting rather quite around here...I am hoping everyone is busy with the holidays and all....

The kids were so cute today we went to buy Dh a gift from the kids and then they went with dad to get me one and they were soo excited they told us and could not wait to give it toooo dad....Soo funny,...

Christmas gets better and better with the kids...

Kristin- not to sound too dramatic but my life sort of fell apart this past weekend. I'll be back around I just need some time. I'm glad you are all well and preparing for X-mas. I will be back soon.

We have been very busy...hardly at home lately. It will probably be that way for the next few weeks. Home today because Drew had a slight fever last night, so I kept him home from school. Good chance to get lots of laundry and cleaning done. How's the shopping, wrapping, decorating & baking going?

Olivia is home with a fever as well. I'm still wiped from all of last weeks baking. I'll start again soon I'm sure. It helps clear my head. I did make at the last minute an awesome coconut cream pie and little butter cookies filled with raspberry jam that were heavenly. Maybe I'll make some more of them to cheer myself up!

Speaking of illnesses ....

... our 2 kids recently had a sort of chronic cough and runny nose thing - after several weeks we brought them in for an exam - and it turns out the older one had a slight double infection - and both are on cefadil now... after 5-7 days of it they are much better....

Gotta run now - going to the LA Zoo to meet my sister for the afternoon.

sorry to hear that everyone has been dealing with illeness///but I guess it is that time of year...

we have been dealing with me having pains in my chest the cold so does not agree with me at all....uGh!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I need to give them a bath, etc..tomorrow is school and I am off to do some shopping for myself my friend works at the gap and it is family day so we get a huge discount tomorrow.....YIPEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Ok well if anyone has any great holiday recipes to share would love them since I am doing christmas with bruce's cousin and aunt and uncle on sat.. and I am soo not a cook... thanks.,...

Princess- so sorry to hear you are having a rough time of things....hope they improve soon. Terrible things tend to happen around the holidays. Last year my Grandpa died on Christmas day. We will have a Mass for him this Christmas Eve, and I'm expecting it will be very hard on my Grandma this year.

Kritter- let me know what you decide to make for your Christmas celebration. I'm trying to find some new recipes too. I'm going to check out recipes on The Food Network's website. I also like allrecipes.com. People rate the recipes, so you get feedback from people that have already tried them.

Kristin.....No worry about hurricanes. There is one out there but it is moving away from Florida. As far a weather goes the next 5 days call for nothing but sun...highs in the low 70's and lows in the 40's........It does not get any better than this. This is perfect Disney weather. I love Florida weather this time of year. I think the kids do miss the snow though as we lived in Pittsburgh before moving to Tampa.

Oh good about the hurricane my parents left today for a ten day caribbean cruise....
I hate you...I soo wish that I lived there...That is the weather that I need and want....i love that weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You make me soo jealous..I wish that I could get Dh to move down there..Any plans to go to disney any time soon???

Kristen.....actually DW and I are going to do the Candlelight Processional at Epcot this Saturday and the next weekend the whole family is going and spending one night and then we are going for the day on Dec 21.

You just need to live here during the winter.....the summer is not so nice with all the humidity.
