Crash, my goodness you are going to be busy! I get tired thinking about all the stuff you do!

Ready for a big Bah Humbug? I'm not sure I could handle a 15 day cruise on the Disney Magic or Wonder  . Please don't faint. Parents, I know that you have witnessed (OTHER people's of course, dd's and ds's and dear spouses) having melt downs by Thursday night of the 7 day cruises. I have personally witnessed (exausted) children throwing themselves in hallways and kicking doors. Sleeping ,crying and fighting at dinner. Mom's having a little extra to drink and dad's completely LOSING it by the end of their "vacation" week with the children. I know, I know, I sound terrible but I do speak the truth. I am fortunate to have well behaved children, as I'm sure my dear friends, you are as well  . Trust me when I tell you that not everyone is as fortunate and it is clearly evident after being on a cruise ship with hundreds of children for 7 days. Obviously I am not turned off by 7 days. I understand kids will be kids. We had an AMAZING time. I'm just not sure I could do too much more than 7 in such confined spaces.

Without children? Take me to the Mediterranean..........especially the Greek Islands any day :sunny:

My ?. I just bought the movies Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and Yours, Mine and Ours. I LOVE the original with Lucille Ball. So, what is your ALL TIME favorite movie?

hi all ,
Just checking in what is the newsest question that is up???

KRITTER....

I got 10 minutes before we scoot out the door ... and I do believe PRINCESS OLIVIA has posted a fair question.... "What is your all time favorite movie" ....

PLUS I posted an "Optional Question" just in case Princess did not get around to posting a Q tonight. In my book it's OK to answer what-ever seems like fun ... and so long as we're not playing a game for money or honor, life or D---H, we might as well declare the rules are officially relaxed to the point of having NO RULES. So just answer what you want if it pleases you! In order or out of order does not really matter... especially if your stories bring a smile to anyone!

So answer both if you like... or just carry on with whatever makes you smile this evening! I gotta run now... I'll probably check in late tonight then be a chicken without a head being chased by the cook with a cleaver tomorrow til maybe 10PM. Below is my last question.... :thumbsup2 and I'll leave Princess's question to someone else for now... I gotta run now..... :moped:

THAT'S GREAT PRINCESS!

However ... now that we've gotten an answer from you in the game (thank you! :thumbsup2 ) ... it's also your turn to whip up a question. :confused3 .....

Well... maybe I'll slip in a question NOW .. just in case Princess doesn't get around to posting one of her own... and seeing that I gotta run some errands soon this seems convenient... :tink:

OPTIONAL QUESTON... IF you were to get the Magic (or Wonder) to sail anywhere in the world for 15 days... where would you make it sail? AND for kicks you could occupy the Walt Suite and an adjoining cabin with up to 7 guests for free and hang out on the bridge as often as you like to ensure your orders are being carried out! I.E. select embarkation port, and destinations for days 2-14 with return port. Creative commentary on a few of your designated ports is expected.

Yeah... for example I might say... I would have the Magic chase the Carnival Glory and sail rings around it provided it is not in a Florida port... as if it were in an island port we could just circle the island. And as I did this I would have the Magic pass close to the Glory every other hour and either toot the horn or fire off some fireworks! Think of it as the Magic stalking the Glory... for laughs. pirate: Arrr ARGH Arrrr ... it's my pirate blood at work here pirate: ya' kno!

:lmao:

Cheers....

I believe it is all time favorite movie :confused3 Mine is any John Cusack movie from the 80's except "One Crazy Summer", that movie was horrible. For optional question, I would say it would be cool to go through the Panamal Canal.

And so Captain doesn't yell at me again for not posting a question :) , here is my question,

What is your current favorite TV show? (Hope that hasn't already been asked) :teeth:

OK... I'm waiting for the kids ta finish their meals before we scoot... and I had to say I've never seen any kids unhappy with being on the cruise too long... nor have I ever heard of it til now. But I do understand and agree that it is possible... no doubt. So... I wuz talking with my spouse about if and when we might do a long cruise... like a world cruise... or spread over a few years we'd do quarters of a world cruise. Sort of early thinking since we agreed the best time might be to do it during our kid's collee years over the summers or quarters to match the sailing schedule. A lot of young kids cannot travel until they get more established so a major trip would be fun enrichment .... but it sure would drain the bank unless we were to consider a tramp steamer! They DO ofer long voyages on working merchantmen... I recall seeing it a long time ago... but not recently. Anyone ever looked at this before? Not seriously - but just plain looked at it???

OK... it's officially 7:01 and I have to insist that my family depart.... regardless of what has and has NOT been eaten.

TTFN! :moped:

I'm sorry... I did not mean to seem like I ever yelled. THIS is a YELL... the other stuff is casual conversation.... LOL! :rotfl2:

I'm still waiting for the kids to get going... we're gonna be really late for bible study ... AGAIN. Yeah... louder tones there, LOL! :thumbsup2

My regrets at ever seeming pushy or pointed about the Q thing... I just wanna have a little fun... and I'm trying to git our posting total up to 2000 so I have a chance of posting the 2000th entry.... LOL! :woohoo:

gotta try and go again..... all this thread LOL stuff is making my internet sides (finger tips) ache!

TTFN (again)... 7:07 PM.... "GUYS .... we gotta GO NOW".....

Grays Anatomy! Oh how I love that show!

Next question: What's your favorite holiday and why?

Gotta run Timmy has an 8:30 batting lesson in the morning. They have their first baseball tournament in two weeks! Boy, I hope it warms up around here!

Hope everyone has a nice weekend! :wave2:

We love Greys here as well, but it is a tie between that and Two and Half Men for me.

My favoritie Holiday is "4th of July", as it is close to my b-day :cool1:

OK.... I'm baaacck! And it looks like we have an answer to a Q ... and ... ahem, I believe we need a question.... from.... Goofy Drives. Yeah, we were just chattin' about the A&Q routine so I'm being reeeeal careful to keep everything lower case. LOL!

:confused3

AND... in case Goofy Drives a car does not log in with a Q by say 3PM California time on Saturday ~ may I suggest we resume with this optional question which I posted for the same contingency with Princess (who came back online in time to post a Q).... :goodvibes

I have to add myself to the growing list of Grey's Anatomy fans!!!

I also have to share my excitement about tomorrow. Aside from it being a Grey's Anatomy night :thumbsup2 , I am taking my 5 year old to The Lion King tomorrow. I have wanted to see this show for years, and Aidan loves The Lion King, especially Scar. I can't wait; it is going to be a Mommy/ Aidan day. We'll get dressed up, go out to lunch and then the show. On a kind of pathetic note, I can't think of the last time my husband and I had that nice of a date :teeth:

We saw this show a couple of years ago.....it was fantastic! Have a great time with your little boy. :simba:

Hi all :cool1:

It's been awhile. Just for a re-introduction, I'm Kathy and will be joining you on the Magic along with a rather large portion of my family. We've add one more which has resulted in me getting my own cabin (Cat 11 on Deck 6). Not too happy about giving up my verandah, but for the safety of all on board it's better this way.

A little about me, I'm soon to turn 40something. I'm single and would love to meet a guy who, as an adult, gets "Disney". I'm involved in pharamceutical R&D. I love to sail. This will be my second trip on the Magic and I cannot wait for this trip. I'm a DVC member with SSR being my home resort. I'm heading to Vero Beach in a couple of weeks to celebrate my B-Day with my sister.

I need to get cracking and get caught up on the 90+ pages here. Just to answer a few of the questions posed:

Favorite Show: Amazing Race
Favorite Villan: Capt. Hook
All-Time Favorite Movie: Sense and Sensability (love the scenery)
Itinerary for 15 days on the Magic..hmmmm, I'd love to see her sail up the Hudson balsting her horn as she pulled in to NYC. I would love Bermuda. The Greek Isles would be nice. Botom line for me, it's not the destination but rather enjoying the journey. Two weeks on the Magic would be heaven!

Look forward to getting caught up and to know you all before October 28th!.

Welcome back kab407!! Maybe we could set up a fun singles thread?! I LOVE match making  I'm so glad you'll be joining us.

aghutton- Lion King SO COOL!!! Everyone will LOVE it! Have Fun

I do love Gey's Anatomy but my FAVORITE show right now has to be The Office. I Love Steve Carell. He is married to that really cute blond comedian from VH1. They actually live a couple of towns over from us. However obviously they are always filming and not around much but we have caught glimpses. That reminds me in December Orlando Bloom (Pirates of the Caribbean) and Kate Bosworth ( i adore both) were visiting her home (since she was 14) in Cohasset MA and they were spotted shopping at a local beautiful outside mall and at a small cafe. I love seeing celebrities. Sounds dumb but it is pretty fun.

Dashing off to CCD and breakfast! Have a good day!

I am not very good at this game. Here is my question

Has anyone gone to any of classes on the ship and if so, which one is your favorite?

Jen,
Are you referring to the kid's Catechism classes? If so, I'm really surprised they are on Saturday. Ours is Sunday after 8:30am Mass.

Kathy,
Happy (early) Birthday :bday:

Kathy,
Happy (early) Birthday :bday:

I second the happy b -day!!

D, yes Saturday classes are not fun. The town actually schedules the classes around the sports schedule. Cameron makes frist communion on May 6th. Last year was so much fun buying Olivia a beautiful white dress and having her portrait done. I'm not looking as forward to buying a white suit. I wish he could wear tan pants, dress shirt, tie and blazer ( his cruise stuff).
If they had classes on Sunday I think more people might attend mass.

Goofy...80's movies are some of my all time favorite movies. I LOVE any movie with John Cusack. One of my best movies with him is Serendipity and of course who doesn't love Lloyd Dobler in Say Anything??
As for classes on the ship. I haven't been to any, however, Olivia went to the Toll House cookie class. The Toll House was in Whitman MA. It's where the chocolate chip cookie was first made or "discovered" by Ruth Wakefield in the 1930's. I grew up in Whitman. The Toll House burnt down on New Years eve ( I saw it....sad) 1985. It was cool for Olivia to hear about Whitman (we now live in Hanson the two towns have a regionalized school district) on the Disney cruise ship!!
I was tempted each day to go to the art auctions. The art is beautiful. Anyone ever bought anything?

Hey Goofy...

You're a CHAMP at the A&Q game...

... and that goes doubly so since you're such a good sport about it. I have to coness I'm just being a bit Goofy myself with some of the Qs I'm dreaming up. And your questions are great... tough .... but great. I actually have not EVER done any classes on DCL so I am disqualified from responding. BUT it is a really good one.

Of course, someone will step forward having done pilates or the cooking class... or what-ever else has been done or maybe someone will opt for the optional 15 day Cruising Q. Either way... it's just rolling along!

So kab407.... :wave2: :

Welcome back to the ongoing party. So... I like your answers. In particular, the horn blastin' and Captain Hook affirmations. And.... for what it's worth we have had some luck with introductions in the past. Not necessarily on the first intro but rather through shear numbers we have come up with some good results. Of course, we do have our customary fees.... LOL! And our terms are negotiable. Currently "I" am working for Mickey Bars :mickeybar with sprinkles off the boat. My spouse on the other hand generally works for purses.... IE if any intro goes to a 3rd successful date than it's time to pay up. She's received a few bags as a result. No Heremes Birkin bags though (fortunately?). Anyways - we're not into the accessories - really?! And truthfully, I have not collected on any intros as my spouse is the one with all the "connections"... and usually she knows more single girlfriends then single guys... I guess that's probably a good thing, eh?

So... I'll start looking for "qualified" single guys for you. I assume the usual criteria apply... Tall, handsome, gainfully employed or young and COMFORTABLY retired with an appreciation for all things Disney . OH... you may be in luck because I think I know one who fits most of the "bill" ... problem is he may have a girlfriend... The guy's first name is Mickey and his girlfriend's name is Minnie ... and to the best of my knowledge they're not "married" nor have I ever seen a ring on his or her left "married" finger.... so all we have to do is corner him when that girlfriend of his is not around and then it's up to you!

I believe he is "loaded" and considered capable of retiring even though he seems to still work quite hard. I believe he even has his own boat too... two in fact and they're not ordinary either! :thumbsup2 I think I read somewhere that they weigh 83,000 tons plus, carry over 2700 people and have 18' propellers! .... However, I should caution you in knowing I've actually been to his house (several times in LA) and it's quite small. Modest but tastefully decorated by my standards... but, although his home is small it sits on some major real estate (a LOT of dirt in a prime part of town). And did I mention he has SEVERAL homes.... around the world? Yeah... Paris, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Orlando and Anaheim. Oh... did I mention he was into film making... and he may even have a deal with a cable TV channel as his likeness appears on it everywhere... or... hmmm, maybe he OWNS it... oops... he also owns the ABC broadcasting family.

OK... I'll tell you what... for the intro ... and we'll corner him in an elevator without that "girlfriend" of his around we're gonna have to get our purse and a mickey bar up front... with sprinkles as this is going to take a certain amount of stalking on my part ... while on vaction no less... Oh yeah... final comments... he is NOT all that tall being giant mouse an' all; but I believe he more than makes up for it with being cute, cuddly and relatively tall with the added height from his ears! ::MickeyMo See....?

Edited additional commentary.... You know what kab407, I've been thinking... this is gonna be a pretty tough job. I will also have to corner this guy for you without any of his FRIENDS around. There's this Giant girlfriend Duck of Minnie (Daisey or ???) and then there's that ever present and loyal dog of his. So I'm gonna need 2 Mickey Bars plus extra sprinkles. AND if we have a deal.. then I'll be going to Disneyland tomorrow and monday so maybe I'll be able to swing by his house... he's often there... and I'll sort of open a dialog and drop a hint. :hyper2: If I do it right then there might not even be a prenupt involved... and if that happens then it's another Mickey Bar!

:stir:

OK... enuf of dat.... :confused3 I gotta go run a B-day party for my daughter today ....

Welcome back to the active commmunity for the 2006 Magic Halloween sailing!

Cheers! I gotta go get a drink after dat last bit of chat... :drinking1

Thank you all for the warm welcome back and the birthday wishes.

Capt. Crash - your friend Mickey sounds interesting. Boats, Real Estate, Paris..hmmmmm. That dang girlfiend though. I don't go after other women's or mouse's men. I'll tell you what, if something were to happen and we were to get together, I'll make it worth you effort. A life time supply of Mickey Bars is a small price to pay for happiness! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Enjoy your Saturday.
