Yea! Lots of yelling and screaming after all the bad news the last couple weeks. :cheer2: They are all SO excited. I look forward to having them communicate with the other kids for the cruise!

My wife and I would be happy to volunteer our place for a get together on Friday evening. It would be an excuse to meet and have some fun. We could meet at our resort and probably arrange to have some pizza delivered while we hang out by the pool.

Anyone interested in having a little social time the day before?

Chris

Chris,
Wow how nice of you to offer! Personally I will have to let you know as we get closer if we will be able to attend. We have family that lives close to the port, and they had mentioned taking us out to dinner. It would be really nice to meet everyone before the cruise. Where is the place you are staying?

We are staying in Cypress Pointe Resort in Lake Buena Vista. It is relatively close to Downtown Disney. I have been on the Board of Directors of the resort for many years and we will have two condos the week before the cruise while we visit Disney and Sea World.

We are known as the resort with the volcano pool. The web site is cypresspointe.net.

We are staying at Saratoga Springs which is pretty close to Downtown so maybe we would be able to grab a cab and come on over for a bit..what time were you thinking?????

I was thinking maybe about 5. That way we could have an early dinner and relax before the final preparations.

I will be happy to email my cell phone# as we get closer for those who would want to join up with the group.

Chris

We won't be on that side of town on Friday eve, unfortunately. I would have loved to hit downtown Disney, and the get together sounds like a lot of fun. But thanks so much for the invitation Chris!

 I'M SO EXCITED!! AND I JUST CAN'T HIDE IT!! :woohoo:

Ok... so it is my first disney cruise.... my kids first cruise, airplane ride.... disney anything.... CAN I BE AS EXCITED AS A LITTLE KID ON CHRISTMAS?? :santa:

These next 2 months are going to be the LONGEST of my LIFE! :snail: I am worse than my kids..... :confused3

Can I take any pill that will put me to sleep fpr the next 2 months? :hourglass

HELP!!!

Sigh, no pill to make the time pass faster but think of all the fun in preparing and deciding what to do on the cruise!

Chris

wndrmite,

I know how you are feeling. I think I am starting to drive Tim and the boys nuts. Each day I tell them how many more days until we leave for the cruise. I started a countdown chain for Jacob. Each day we remove a chain. I think it helps him understand how long we have left until we cruise. I found a website that has premade Disney chains. All you have to do is cut them and staple! I can not wait! This has to be very exciting for your daughters! I am sure you are really looking forward to seeing them in awe of everything! This will be such a great experience or them. Only 66 more days to go! :cheer2:

Yes Princess, I am VERY excited to see my kids enjoy everything! :goodvibes

I know I will cry everytime they see something neat. Heck, I cry when they smile a lot at Chuckie Cheese! :rolleyes1

O.K. I got a little teary eyed thinking of your girls going on this trip and having this experience! Wow........what an awesome feeling. I remember when my kids were really small and taking them to Disney and during attractions I would just watch the wonder in their faces and cry the whole time! My husband never could really "get" that.........I think the best will be when they actually see the ship when you drive into the port..........thanks for the warm fuzzy!!!!

We are just super busy here......I have a feeling this vacation will be a welcome break when it finally arrives.

Have a great week everyone.

HELP!!!

Four years ago, we were at WDW, on the monorail. It was a beautiful evening, the sun was setting, a postcard moment. As we came around the bend, the castle came into view. There was a young boy, 8 or 9 years old, and obviously on his very first visit:cloud9: The expression on his face and the excitement in his voice brought everyone in the cab back to their first day at WDW:banana: Everyone was laughing and some (including me) were crying.
We all share in your excitement :jumping1: and wish we could see the faces of your beautiful girls when they arrive!
By the way, I won't be hard to find. I'll be the 42 year old child with the big grin :teeth: and tears running down my face as I enter the ship!!!

Okay, I know I'm in good company now.....I am the biggest mush! I was afraid I'd be the only one crying on board. I'll be packing tissues in my carry-on!

I've been bursting at the seams wanting to tell my kids about the cruise, but we've been successful in keeping this HUGE secret for the past year and a half.....I'm not going to blow it now!!

Missy- How was Cedar Pointe?

Oh my gosh I get tears in my eyes when I see my kids face as we walk down mainstreet for the first time and they see the castle.. The excitement in their eyes is amazing...I thought I was the only emotional one here.......

I'm just tellin' ya girls.......when you pull over the bridge into the port and you can begin to see the port area and the boat just keeps getting bigger and bigger as you get closer.........well you are just going to be a little choked up to say the least....

Cedar Point was great. The weather was good and the best was my cell phone flew off on the Magnum (300 feet high and 65 mph) and they told me to come back right before close and see if they found it! Yea right! Not only did they have it, it works and still had the clip attatched! Hardly scratched up.

Have a good night.

Missy

Guys, I am seriously starting to get concerned that we might sink the ship.... With so many tears & emotional ones, you just can't be sure. I'm right there with you though. I cry at everything!!!

Gee, I think we all need to pack a bunch of tissues. With all of us emotional people on board, DCL might run out of tissues. Tim is aways making fun of me, I tear up really easy. I too am a very emotional person. Since this is our second cruise, maybe I won't cry so much.......not! There is nothing that touches my heart more than to see joy in my children or any child's face.

Hello Everyone!

It sounds like I will fit in with all the emotional ones!! I remember getting really emotional last year when we saw the boat for the first time.

We found out a few weeks ago that we are moving to Jacksonville, FL from Illinois. When I told my children that we were moving to FL, my daughter asked me if we were going to live by the Mickey Mouse boat. I told her that we would be closer. Now whenever someone ask about our move, she tells them that we are moving on the Mickey Mouse boat. She loved it so much last year that she is convinced we are moving on there. She is just extremely excited to go again. We went last September and they are both still talking about it.

Not long now!

Melissa
