Heather - Your beach pictures are to cute!!

For those of you who didn't get tea or brunch ressie's. If you make them as soon as you board you should be able to get them!!

Well we have finalized our plans

St. Martin we are taking a cab to Orient Beach to spend a few hours, then we will return to the Ship and shower, them do some shopping.

St. Thomas- I booked an independent tour through godfrey tours. I read about him on cruisecritics and he got very good reviews. He picks you up at the Ship takes you shopping, gives you a 2 hour tour of the Island, then takes you to the beach of your choice either Magens Bay, Coki Beach, or Sapphire Beach for 2 hours, Then returnd you to the Ship at 4:00. You can also opt to return to the Ship after the tour. He only charges $25.00 per person. What a deal!!!

Castaway Cay- Serenity Bay..... :beach: a float, and a Konk Kooler :thumbsup2

Teri,
We also booked with Godfrey a few months ago! I also found out about him through the cruise critic site. I guess we will be touring together! It will be the kids, Tim, my Dad and Step Mom, and myself! It will be so fun to be touring along with you! We are set to be picked up at 9:00. Is that when he is picking you up? What beach will you and Rick be going to? We have not decided yet. I need to do some research on the beaches.

For St. Maarten we are doing an independant tour with Bernard who was also highly recommended through the cruise critic website. It is the same type of thing with shopping, a tour, and beach time.

As far a Castaway Cay, we plan on spending the relaxing with the kids play. Timmy might end up doing the banana boat ride.

Hope everyone is having a great week! :wave2:

Teri & Heather- those tours are a great deal. I was nervous about booking an excursion outside of Disney for our first trip, but I want to try something on our own next time. See how I'm already talking about our next cruise......I'm so sure we are going to have an awesome time, we'll definitely rebook!

Well the company I ordered the shirts from has yet to print them, They are giving me a hard time about the Disney images. Does anyone know of a company that is will to print the transfers? I have tried to use Cafe Press, Zazzle, and E-shirts. I have even checked with a few local print shops and I am not having any luck. Please send me the info if anyone knows of a company.

Hi Everyone,

Finally had some time to check back into the thread. I have been getting the e-mail updates. It's getting close and we all are getting excited. I did book our brunch...Sunday at 10:30. Our Palo dinner is on Monday night at 7:30. We love the brunch! It is one of the best experiences on the ship!! (I think so anyway :goodvibes )

On St. Marteen we are doing the private tour for 4 hours and then the kids will go back to the ship and we will walk around the shops. ( My DH is looking forward to this...last time every jewlery store we went in they offered him a beer LOL)

On St. Thomas we are doing the 5 Star Snorkel and Beach Tour. We did this on our last cruise and Trunk Bay was beautiful. We have my friend's 2 girls coming with us on their first cruise, so I thought they would enjoy this excursion as much as we did.

Castaway Cay my Dh is doing the fishing excursion and we will hang out on the beach and enjoy every moment!

My DD's are 11 and 13 and are not showing any interest in the Halloween Trick or Treating. I hope to get everyone costumes though.

We are staying at the Residence Inn on Friday before the cruise. The first time we cruised we flew in the morning of and it wasn't good. The flight was delayed... didn't arrive on the ship intil 3 p.m. and then we left our garment bag in the airport. I find it much more relaxing to fly in the night before.

I will try to post a picture soon of all of us! And I will be checking in more often.

FYI....if you google "disney halloween cruise 2006" one of the options that is given on the first page is for the tripod site you have created. So technically it is not secure. Tripod, in that it is free, does not have that security option unless you upgrade. I am just freaky (read: over the edge about putting kids pictures on the internet and I know it's irrational) about stuff like that so I wanted you to be informed.

Maryann, I have a 13 year old daughter too. She will be in the 8th grade this year. Maybe we could get them talking beforehand.

Have a great day everyone.....

I just assume that anything posted on the web someone can get at if they want to bad enough.

Yes we are aware that the site can be found if you look hard enough for it. A moderator recommended Tripod to us as a way to keep information a little more private than posting over and over again here. We did choose the option to not have the item promoted in searches, but it is the internet so the web page can be found. If anyone is uneasy about the information on the web page, let us know and we can remove whatever you do not want posted.

Heather-Godfrey is picking us up at 10:00. We will see you for the tour after shopping. Rick and I are not sure about the beach as we are worried about getting back to the ship right at 4:00. I don't want to cut it to close. I did research the beaches and would love to go to Magens Bay!!! Rick and I went to Coral World and Coki Beach last year and really enjoyed it. The water is beautiful at Coki Beach and I saw a flounder while snokeling, it was very neat!! It is amazing how well it blended into the sand.

Buckifan- We have done many independent tours and have NEVER had a problem!! However I don't blame you for booking with Disney as this is your first cruise. You are going to have a BLAST!!!

Maryann- I agree with you about Brunch. It is not to be missed.

We are also a little concearned about getting back to the ship at 4:00 as we have to be all abord by 4:30. We might end up skipping the beach and doing the Pardise Point tramway. They kids saw pictures of the tramway and are interested in it. We are still deciding. We were also thinking of Coral World. Who knows what we will end up doing. We have 72 days to decide!

Yes That would be great... She is very quiet.....If you want to PM me her screen name I will do the same with Kaitlyn's. She is also going into 8th grade.

Hi Cathy,

I have some kids close to the age of yours.

Patrick (10)
Rebekah (8)
and two younger kids.

We are telling the kids tonight and I am telling the two older ones that they might be able to email some other kids going on the cruise.

I am sure that we are going to have a wild night tonight!

Chris
