I'm planning on bringing Bonine and ginger tablets. Has anyone had success with these?

Deanna......Because Bonine can make you sleepy even though it is not supposed to we take a bonine every night before bed whether we need it or not. We start taking it on Friday night before bed. I really do not know if we would get sick or not but I do know that my stomach gets upset on a fishing boat if I do not take it.

Kristen...if you are just signing your kids up then there is no need to get up.
Glad you had a good time....welcome back!

Dave

Hi Everyone! I've been catching up with all your posts. To all of you with sick children; may they all be well soon and for the rest of summer. Nothing worse than sick children.

Being able to make ressies is so cool. I too made 10:30 Thurs brunch at Palo. Although we went out to the North End in Boston Friday night so I didn't make my reservations until 8:30 am. No problem. All was still available. The only thing that is a bummer.... even though we're taking my mom and cousin, I couldn't make excursion plans for them because they aren't cast away cay etc... The only excursion we boooked through Disney is the dolphin encounter. Anyone done this in St Maarten (Anguilla) before?

I wish they would just square away the pirate night/ Halloween night thing. I was really hoping for two seperate nights. That would mean I could bring one less dress for Olivia. Finding the right sundress for a 9 year old girl is not so easy these days. The dresses are either too old or too young. I know you men are rolling your eyes but you gals with older children know what I mean!

I hope you are all well and if you are part of this heat wave...STAY COOL!!

I know exactly what you mean about the clothes for girls. Even for my 7 year old it is hard to find clothes that aren't too grown-up. I took the girls last night for back to school shopping. Sorry GDAC your beer budget took another hit. :rotfl2:

Buckifan- I get motion sickness when traveling through the mountains, and rides that spin. However I have never been sick  on a cruise. This will be our 8th Disney but 14th cruise. I have had moments when I have been very queasy when we were in rough seas. Chewing on peppermint gum has ALWAY"S made me feel much better.

Teri

Teri- That makes me feel a lot better! So, I'll add the peppermint gum to my list and hopefully we'll all be fine.

Jen- Yeah, I have the same problem with Kylie. And she is not content to shop at The Children's Place or Disney anymore. She likes Limited Too & Justice. And the clothes at those stores tend to be very teen-like. I still want her to look like a little girl, but that is NOT her taste. When we go to the mall I see her "checking out" the teenage girls and their fashions. Occasionally she'll say "Mommy, did you see her boots (or whatever caught her eye), I love those!" And she spends so much time putting outfits together. She doesn't get this from me, though. I consider my tastes to be pretty plain, actually. But I can tell already, I'm in lots of trouble with her.....she isn't even 7 yet!

Happy Anniversary Dave and Fran!!!! (XLT800 & Tchrmom)

I second the Happy Anniversary!

D and LaRue- I've been pretty fortunate up until earlier this year. Liv would put anything I layed out on. I am a big shopper (a very bad vice that always seems to land me in hot water by the way). I pick out pretty cute things but lately I am getting sick about the choices out there. I'm so done with Limited Too. They are HUGELY over priced and I think most of the clothes are WAY too old for 7,8,9 and 10 year olds. I do baby her a bit. I still put her in Gymboree (not baby looking) clothes from the store on line ,they go up to a 12. I do best at Gap but I've pretty much tapped out their summer clothes and am still looking for a couple more casual dresses. Any ideas?

Getting over 100 today and will be HOTTER tomorrow! UGH......

Jen,
I completely agree! WAY OVER PRICED!!! For such a little tiny piece of clothing that will only fit her for one season. At least the trend is longer tshirts now. Thank GOODNESS! We had such a hard time when the shirts were cut short because Kylie is long waisted, so just about everything looked like a belly shirt on her, and I won't allow her to wear those. But it's also frustrating to spend money on clothes that she refuses to wear.

Do you have a Talbot's for kids in your area? Kylie has an adorable dress we'll be bringing on the cruise from there. They have nice classic styles, and very well made clothes.

Hope everyone is staying cool during the heat wave...We are loving it..We love the heat the hotter the better...ANother pool day today..Hope everyone is well...
Kristin

Hey where is everyone today????

Reminding everyone that if you want to sign up for trick or treating to email heather or myself.. thanks!!!!!

Hi everyone! Hope all is well!

A few reminders:

Please don't forget sign up for trick or treating and the DIS meet. Info can be found on our website. If you have not signed up for the website please conct Kristin or myself. We will have a cut off for trick or treat sign ups. If you are interested please don't delay in signing up!

We are in need of someone who is willing to take over the ice cream eating contest. *** if no one steps up tp take charge of this event, it will need to be cancelled***

I have been working on getting the t-shirts set up with the company we will be ordering from. I have placed an order for a shirt. Once the shirt comes in, I will post the link to the company. I just wanted to make sure the shirts are decent quality before everyone orders.

Also, start thinking about if you want to place an order for the custom rubber bracelets. They should run about $2 -$3 a bracelet. This is a good way for us to identify each other on the ship. They come in kids sizes and adult sizes.

Please let Kristin or I know if anyone wants to host another meet or event. Also let us know if you have any suggestions as to what else the group can do to make this a great cruise.

Wow! I can not wait until this cruise. It is getting closer and closer! :woohoo:

Hello Everyone! I have been reading the post, but haven't submitted much! My whole family is excited about our cruise, but recently found out we may be moving, so things have been a little crazy here! We will be in desperate need of our cruise by October! I am excited about meeting everyone! Teri- I would love to meet you for tea on the 30th. I will have to see if I can get a reservation when I get on the boat. I checked online and they were not offering anything but dinner! I waited too long!!!! I made ressies for my husband and I a spa day since we are celebrating our 10th anniversary this year! We haven't decided about Palo yet. We did dinner the last cruise and are considering it again this time! I will try to post more!!

Melissa

Mellissa,
I would LOVE to have you join me for tea on the 30th. I have reservations for two so you can be my Guest!!! If any other Ladies or Gentelmen would like to meet with Mellissa and I you are welcome to join us. Just make your reservation for tea on October 30th.

Teri

Teri- Thank you for inviting me! I am looking forward to it! My husband says that I should warn you that I really like to talk!!!!! I enjoy meeting new people! Have a great weekend!
Melissa

Terri,

Can you tell me more about the Tea?? My husband is not sure he wants to do a brunch at Palo's so a tea might be nice to do with just girls. Thanks ,,,

Kristin

I'd like to hear more about the tea also. What do they serve? And could you remind me again what time it is at?

I would like more info about the tea as well. Maybe all of the women can get together for tea. What time is it? We do have trick or treating set up for 12:30 on the 30th. As long as the times don't interfere that would be great!

Hi just wanted to check in and say that FI and I will be celebrating our honeymoon on this cruise. It is a first time cruise for us and we are both looking forward to relaxing and not being in phone contact with relatives or wedding vendors!
