Halloween Costumes

Thats a good one too. But i can't wear that one to the disney party. I won't beable to go on the rides. ::yes::

I'm going as Gilligan....white pants, keds, red shirt...gilligan hat. Someone else could be Skipper....

Last year I was Inspector Clouseau....mans hat (forget the name...I rented it froma costume shop for under $10), DH's old Burberry trench coat...bought a moustache ($5)....

I get all of my costume ideas from DDs. Teens always have great ideas!

That is a great idea too. Love this thread.

OK, this is what i came up with. I am going to go as little red riding hood. My son is going as the scream guy. My sister has a red cape, so i am going to borrow it. I will carry a basket with me. That can be for my candy. LOL I am going to try to throw something together to make my husband the wolf. Can anyone come up with something, so i can make it?

easy/goofy ones I've done.....

Oversized white tshirt - painted yellow yoke to make an egg and pinned red tail and wore red horns....deviled egg

pinned individual boxes of cereal on a shirt and then glued small pieces of the cereal spilling out. stuck plastic knives in the boxes....cereal killer

I know, I know too corny.

Here's a link to some great ideas.

Happy Halloween!

those were great. I will show them to DH.

This is one that my husband did several years ago to work when everyone dressed up.
A nerd!
We went to a thrit store and found some polyester plaid pants that were just a little too short, then he bought a plaid blazer that didn't even come close to matching. I don't remember what shirt he wore but he added a plastic pocket protector with pens, some white scrunched up at the socks and dorky shoes. Then a pair of old black glasses with tape on them and combed his hair flat and over to the side. I could not even look at him without cracking up and everyone at work LOVED it! This would be easy to ride the rides with.

Back in my college years, my roommates and I went as a 6 pack! We took plain white pillow cases (cut out arm holes and neck) and decorated them like beer cans. Then we made each one a"rope belt" so we could clip onto another rope to so we looked like a six pack. It was easy that way in case we wanted to be our own "separate can". I know that that isn't a "family/disney" costume, but you could even make it coke or pepsi cans as well.

Those ideas are all great.
Need to run several of them by DH and see which he would like to try.

THANKS!:D

they were great idea's. Keep them coming everyone.

A couple of years ago I made my DS the "Got Milk King".... I made him a crown out of tin foil and hershey's kisses, he wore black sweats and on the sweatshirt I painted "got milk??" and then hot glued all sorts of items that go with milk all over the pants and shirt (small cereal boxes, candy wrappers etc...) then we used some white face paint for the mustache... :flower:
