Is anyone familiar with a website I could find a list of dentists who buy back candy and send it to troops in Iraq? I'd love to do that, but don't know where to go. Or are there certain other organizations who do this kind of thing?
you'd probably be better off calling around locally. I know, i wish that there was something good to do with the junk. I saw an ad in the paper kind of on the idea that you mention.
anyway, I packed up our leftover candy and gave it to DSIL to bring to the base. Those guys will burn that sugar off in a morning run.
my kids go to a pediatric dental office and we were there on Thursday they had signs up saying they would give $1:00 per lb of candy brought in plus a goody bag Im sure with toothbrushes and toothpaste ect. All candy was being sent to the troops. I bet if you call a local pediatric dentist they could help.

Thanks. That's what I was looking for. Unfortunately, there's no place even close to where I live. I think I'll call the kids' dentist on Monday and see if they do it or know somewhere that does.
