Halloween @ AKV

We'll be flying in late afternoon/early evening on Halloween this year and checking into AKV, is anything special going on at the resort that night?

only MNSSHP !!!!--it is great on Halloween. There are also haunted carriage rides at FW and treat or treating at DTD.

Oh, we get there 10/28-11/04, so we will definitley do MNSSHP and are staying at AKV-K.

Just re-read your post. We were there 10/31 in 2009. They had a cute CM pumpkin craving contest..I am sure things were going on in the Community Hall in the Library. So sorry, I cna completely understand wanting to stay close to the resort on your night of arrival. So yeah, they have a bit of fall in the lobby---of course this was Kindani and we did not get over to Jambo.

Our flights flying cross county don't usually get in until around 5 or 6 PM so going to MNSSHP that night is out, besides being too pooped out. For us to get those flight times we are up at 4AM to get to the airport.

I'm hoping they'll have one on Nov 1 again this year so we can go to that one.

I am sure they will. Tickets should go on sale in May. I hope you have a great time--well, I know you will. This will be the first DVC trip for my Mom and Dad--first MNSSHP for them also. We have 2 SV studios booked at Kidani. Fall will definitely be in the air. There is usually a drum cafe in the Library that is great for the kids--they each get a drum and the CMs play along with them for several minutes--it is great. Always something going on in the evenings. Have you been to AKV before? We love it.

No problem. AKV owner yes, but by no means a AKV vet. DL is our main hangout. I enjoy AKV and SSR as I feel it gets us away from the hustle and bustle of noise and crowds.

We're thinking about taking our nieces to Discovery Cove instead of doing WDW parks before our cruise.

You may still be in time to go trick or treating in DTD. They usually have it on the 30th and 31st of October.

That may be a good option too. Dinner, a little shopping and some trick or treating.
