Halloween after hours

To be honest, I'm planning on going. Sounds like fun. We have always enjoyed the after hours events. We will spend the day relaxing at the pool, and then head over for 7:00. Ride the rides that aren't offered during the event, watch the fireworks and then stuff ourselves on candy, popcorn, ice cream while we galavant through a quiet cool park. Stopping occasionally for a photo or cavalcade.
We are going in September (fingers crossed), so it's a bit cheaper, and it's just my DH and me... no kids. It might be a no go if I had to pay for the whole family.

I mean, I would do an after hour event, and we've done the Halloween party before, one trip twice, we are more for the rides any way, and don't need parades and fireworks, but it does seem to be rather pricey. I guess getting in at 7 would make it better, and agree with the sleep in, spend the day at the pool and then head over for rides. I will hope they have after hours events next year as well, and that airmiles will get tickets, might help off set the costs. But a family of 4? ouch that would be pricey! Even two adults isn't cheap I guess. And snacks included instead of just candy trick or treating. Heck, I've paid for EMM twice in 2019 as well, and hope for that to come back as well. I guess this is a good sign at least, perhaps things will be getting back to normal sooner than later (in Disney any way).

But over on WDW magic they are saying it will be limited tickets, much more so than past DAH events.

These start around 9pm for three hours, not a typical 7pm Party start time.

From the Disney Parks Blog:
“Disney After Hours Boo Bash” tickets will grant admission to Magic Kingdom Park as early as 7 p.m., giving you time to enjoy even more of your favorite Magic Kingdom Park haunts before the event begins. These dated event tickets do not require an additional day theme park ticket or Disney Park Pass theme park reservation

@hdrofe, sorry I was incorrect. Yes park entry at 7pm for ticket holders

WDW Magic is saying there will be the HEA fireworks for everyone, then the party starts. So no specific halloween fireworks.

We were typing at the same time LOL

Interesting. Seems pricey. We will be there for Xmas and we an extra cost, I can see sending the two big kids on their own . We already have 7 days booked and even tho we could sleep in that am , the next morning we wouldn’t be able to ..
We will see tho.. what fall brings and what gets brought back and what doesn’t

I just got off the chat on the app and they said you can only buy tickets over the phone, not online or the app.

Another option if you're using a Disney TA, they can book your tickets for you. DH and I will be going on Oct. 29, and our TA will be buying our tickets for us tomorrow. We're in AB, so it beats me having to get up at 5am MST (7am EST) to buy our tickets.

Apparently people have been on hold for hours or can't even get through to be on hold. I just wish we could book tickets online like everything 2021.

Christmas will be just great...I better get a good long distance phone plan on my landline by August!

Omg today was horrible. I started calling at 6:58am and as soon 7 hit I started getting sorry circuits busy until 8:35 at which time I was on hold for 2 hrs and 38 mins. At that point the call was disconnected by Disney. Tried calling again and had the same as at first for only about 30 mins this time and the on hold for 1 hr and 15 mins when I was once again disconnected. I tried right away again and within 10 mins this time I was put on hold for 1 hr and 40 mins and was finally able to purchase my ticket, that was at 3:30pm. I was on hold for about 5.5 hrs altogether today, longer then what the event is, lol. I have never had such a hard time even during FD times, I would wait 3.5 hrs but I got through with no issues. It’s a good thing I don’t have to talk to people for my job, I did have a meeting and my boss was like are you on hold for Disney and I said yes. He just laughed at me. He didn’t care because I was still working.

Did the parties sell out? I know everyone had long hold times etc to get through, I'm just wondering if we know they had to call right away to even get a ticket. Hopefully the next set of After Hours won't be so sought after? I am hoping they do continue these types of events, I'm sure Christmas will be next, some hybrid of the Party and After Hours like this, but even after that. I am planning for end of April/early May and would pay extra for an after hours event. Heck, I'd be happy if they brought back Early Morning Magic too.

Non-resort guests can purchase them ONLINE or by phone starting June 15th.

You had to call in if resort guest (June 8-14) so they could verify your reservation.

@hdrolfe (or anyone else for that matter), have you used the personal shopper for Christmas tickets before? I am just thinking of using up some of the 17,000 dream miles I have now LOL I am thinking will be upwards of 10,000-12,000 miles for four adults tickets. Do you remember how long it took for your to get your quote back from air miles?

I got MNSSHP tickets in 2019 for August. Asked for the quote on July 5, 1 adult and 1 child ticket was 2500 AM. I can't remember the dollar price though sorry! Got the quote on July 8. Confirmed I wanted them the same day. They took the airmiles on July 10. Got the tickets on July 12. It said up to 10 business days when I replied I wanted them. I believe they were $79 for the adult and $74 for the child, plus taxes for my date in August.
