Meagon congrats on the upgrade!!!! They must have needed the rooms on 7 cause our upgrade was from 7060 to 8040. We will be on the same deck on opposite sides.

I looked over all the halloween stuff we have but still dont know what we will do. It may just be pirates to wear twice.

Gotta work a 12 hour shift today and I think I will sleep late and then do cruise stuff tomorrow.

Hello all! Happy belated Birthday to all that recently celebrated. Congrats to all those getting upgrades also. The only cruise we ever got a free upgrade was our first Disney cruise in 2004..nothing since but I still have my fingers crossed for this time. I wish we would get our room assignment soon!

yes you can, I did that my last cruise and I'm doing this cruise, so my points and obc will pay for my excersions now all I have to do is behave and not spend a lot on other things

Just thought I would bump this to the end since we have had some new additions to the group since this was last talked about.

Can't wait. Just 26 days until we get to WDW and 33 days until we sail on the Magic!!! The next 4 weeks are going to be torture. At least I still have my FE to finish, my gifts to work on and then of course the hardest part for me is going to be packing for a 2 week trip. Yep, torture! I know it will all be worth it in the end!

I feel like I am way off on my count for the FE. I created a spreadsheet a while back so I could try to track, names, ages, etc. I can't seem to post pictures directly to the thread so I am including a link to a photobucket which has the complete list I created. Can someone tell me who really is and isn't participating and if I got all the ages correct. I am trying to make sure I have some age appropriate gifts for the kids, teens and adults.

Busy weekend and a busy week to look forward to...

We've got most of our FE stuff put together, Tracey worked on that while I worked on the budget, watched Yankees vs Red Sox and watched the Magic (and the next day the Dream) leave port on www.portcanaveralwebcam.com

Then we went into my closet and tried on clothes for the trip. I can't believe that a lot of my clothes are TOO BIG! I knew I had lost weight in the last year -- probably due to my diabetes -- but I really had no idea how much (once I got as big as I was, why keep track?). My one and only suit is not only too big, but too big to even have altered to be usable. On the plus side, some stuff way in the back of the closet that I had given up on is just right. On the minus, I need to buy a few more things to be presentable, especially at Paolo's. Now, I'm not small by any stretch of the imagination, but at least I'm smaller.

This week is the end of the Federal Fiscal Year. That's good news since all our production reports etc. and my annual review will be over prior to the trip, the bad news is that Congress still hasn't approved the FY2012 budget, or a continuing resolution, so we're facing a government-wide shutdown (again) on Friday and potential furloughs. I can't believe they'd take it to the brink again, but I didn't think it would be so close this Spring either.

I've got another eye doctor appointment on Wednesday. My eyes continue to transition back to where they were before my diagnosis in August (another consequence of my diabetes), but they aren't "done" yet and I'd really like it to be over.

Thursday and Friday I'm driving up to Massachusetts for a reunion with ex-employees of a previous employer. I'm really looking forward to it. We left Massachusetts in 1996 and I left the company in 1999, so it's been a while.

Wow Tim, you really have a lot on your plate this week. Sorry to hear about your job tho....hope things work out for the best for you.

Have fun seeing your friends from your previous job, I did that on friday evening after work, got together with a couple of girls I worked with at another hospital....it was fun getting together and caught up, plus its like time hasnt passed all that much....we just pick up where we left off...


Well I went out after work and picked up another piece of luggage....so now we should be set.....I have to say I did get a really good deal on it, so just that much better.

Hello all, my name is Bill. My DW is Carol and our DS Stephen (6) are going to book this cruise tomorrow. This will be our first cruise and our first Disney experience as a family. We were booked on the Dream last May but we had an unfortunate accident. It was 7 pm, I had just closed our car trunk and walked across the street to tell the neighbors that we would be leaving at 5 am in the morning. Stephen hopped on his new bike and had an accident; lacerated his spleen, and our cruise ended up with us in the Hospital for the week. The hardest part of it all for Stephen was not getting to meet Mickey.
He still comes up to me and says "Daddy, my tummy doesn't hurt anymore...are we meeting Mickey tomorrow?" It just breaks my heart.

We had ordered an FE from Gradysmom on Ebay and it is really nice. We had over 50 cabins worth of FE gifts ready and no where to go with them. I understand that we are too late to sign onto your FE list. We will be putting up our FE on the door and just placing a new toy for Stephen in it each day. We will also drop off some of our Dream FE gifts into any that we see along the way. Stephen was a large part of the selection of our FE and was really looking forward to giving gifts away. He picked the names and pictures on it...I am "Daddy D'oh", Carol is "MommytheMean", and he is "StephenTheBrave". We were really into the pirate theme.

I need to catch up on this thread and see about any meets and the like. We will be the family wearing the Disney Dork's shirt when we board.

It sounds like your family is in real need of a long overdue cruise. We are so happy to have you join us. My DH, DD5 and I will be visiting WDW and cruising for the first time and can't wait!

I know the group has planned a meeting on the first day and I'm sure the coordinator of the meetup will give you all the details when she logs on.

There is also a postcard exchange planned.

I posted a list of Diser's a page or so back so you can see names and ages of those cruising with us. I know there are several boys the same age as yours traveling.

Also, I'd be more than happy to drop a surprise or two into your FE for your son. So just let me know your cabin number.

Well, lots of rain yesterday that played havoc with the systems at the office but things seem to be back on track and working as they should Just seems that I am out about 3/4 of a day.

Desiree - I had a really difficult time pulling up your list so I can't say. What I will say to those participating - please verify with the list that Marisol has that your cabin number(s) are correct. And, along those same lines - is anyone going to post a whiteboard so we have a centralized location to post any changes to cabin numbers?? I can but I don't really have a very centralized cabin but would be happy to put one out there, just let me know.

We have a similar story about missing last year's planned cruise that I've detailed up-thread, so we're really in need of this vacation too (we have no kids, so expectations were slightly easier to manage.)

As others have said, please do post your stateroom #, as we have plenty of FE stuff and will definitely drop-off something.

We also bought a FE from Gradysmom and are anxiously awaiting it in the mail.

Of course, the bill only funds the government through 18 November, but at least that's past the vacation. So, big sigh of relief.

I heard that and immediately thought of you! Although that is kind of 'day to day' living, you are right in that the cruise days are covered. Hopefully they will pass what is needed and you won't have to worry at all. Well - we can all hope can't we??
