Okay, my birthday is coming up...looking for suggestions on where to go for dinner? I mean, we live near WDW and go all the time and have eaten so many places...just wanted to some input since I cant seem to decide

Dont ask me where to go for dinner.....somewhere at Epcot....maybe one of the resorts.....

I wish I lived close enough to have to make that decision.....I'm thinking I may have to move to florida when I retire......Wally loves the ocean and I love disney & the ocean too....but disney first......

What an awesome decision to get to make! Since the resort area is about the only place I have eaten (although I stayed at Gaylord Palms once for a convention and there were several nice restaurants there) I guess I would pick one of the resorts or the parks. Is there anyplace on your list that you have not eaten at or a particular favorite? I wish we were going to AK on this trip - I think one of the nicest meals I have ever had at the resort was was at Anandapur Yak and Yeti - it was soooo good. California Grill is nice - love that I can watch Wishes from there. Have fun deciding.

so looks like my pocketbooks will take a hit..sigh...5% pay cut across the board at work...so I have to rebudget my whole trip...sigh....and christmas...sigh....supposedly its only till january..but sigh...sigh sigh. It wouldn't be so bad if I was a two income family...well..I guess I can really cut back and not eat at all, and just start taping my shoes together when they fall apart... and they are still going to cut jobs..so who knows it might be mine.....maybe they'll do it when I come back from my vacation...ha can you tell i'm a little salty...i know the company has to do what it has to do but it still upsetting...I work for a good company..so we'll see what happens. *pixie dust*

so, anyone wanna start chatting about the cruise?? We could start a guessing game, making predictions....what movies will be onboard at the time? When will they do halloween activities and what will they be??
Also, maybe we could make a list of excursions so we can see if anyone is doing the same....
just ideas.

Hey guys! Hope you all had a great holiday weekend! My kids started school yesterday. Yay!

We also made a countdown chain for the kids (and me )! So much fun to tear those links up every night!

Movies - the fam and I will probably make it to Cars2, Pooh, and Pirates. I'm also hoping to catch The Help without the kiddos!

I'm super excited for all the Halloween festivities, especially the costume contest and TorT with the kids! I am currently trying to round up costumes for all 6 of us. It's proving not to be an easy task. I think we will probably have one whole suitcase devoted to costumes! Oi! Darn baggage fees! But, we'll also get to wear them the preceding Thursday at MNSSHP, so it'll be worth it!

Excursions - here's the updated plan...
Key West - Trolley tour, maybe the Aquarium? Anyone have any experience with the Aquarium?

Grand Cayman - SCUBA diving with DH, Nana and Papa going to the Turtle Farm with the kids, Baby Claire at the nursery onboard.

Cozumel - taking the ferry to Playa Del Carmen and then touring the Tulum ruins with DH and my Dad, Mom staying onboard with the kiddos (per her request).

Castaway - snorkeling, swimming, and beaching with the fam. I would really like to rent those cool water bike things with the big wheels, but I didn't see them on the excursion list. Anyone know anything about those?

Onboard, i want to see all the shows and attend as many activities as possible (with a 5 month old). Unless we are totally pooped after a week at WDW! In that case, I'll be doing a lot of NOTHING by the pool... with a 5 month old.

Well I got me a little good news today....my daughter and her husband are both going to training/schooling for a few weeks in november, so when we get back from the cruise I get to have my grandaughter for a few weeks.
Last year from the first of october thru mid november I had her also...I loved every minute of it....she was 18months and wore me out....but I would not trade that time for anything....so I get her back again.....I am sooo excited..
I get her all to myself ...ok I guess wally can have a little time with her too....

Went on the walk-through with DS and DDIL yesterday, house is empty, clean and ready for them to move into beginning this afternoon. They are signing on the dotted line later this morning.

Not much else happening here - weather is warmer, no rain predicted so it will be an awesome weekend!

Now I'm only concerned about my april cruise..because I have to pay it off in January...I'll be depressed if we can't go..but maybe I'll just do WDW instead that week and go on Cruise again in Oct of 2012...

yea its scary and like I said I work for a great company..and I wasn't the only one crying at work yesterday... so there's alot of people who have it a ton worse..so I just got to be positive...I already cancelled my extra palo ressie for CC night

I might not do Chef Mickey's on that friday. I'm going to still do MNSSHP...I have to do that...i love that event...so definitely going to do that earlier in Oct. instead of driving up friday, I'll just drive over on saturday morning early in the morning...yuck....

we'll see how things go from here to there.

Plus he has a phone and we can talk to him - he sounded pretty good last night when I spoke to him. So again, I think you for all the pixie dust and prayers - rounding another corner!

Our dinner reservation is for 7:10 and I imagine we won't 'roll' out of there until 8:30 or so. When do you think you will arrive at Epcot?

Our breakfast reservation at Ohana is for 0730, so we'll be to EPCOT by 0900 or 0930 at the latest. We'll probably stay in Future World in the AM. We have a 1205 lunch reservation at Le Cellier, so before or after that would also be good. I can PM my cell number so you can call or text if you'd like.

That is too bad, I hope it is only temporary.

We had OT eliminated back during the budget debacle this Spring (Congress cut our budget by $100 million for May-Sept, even though we are 100% fee-funded) - it amounted to a 25% cut for me, and stupidly, I had included some of my OT into my budget, so it really hurt.

Congress hasn't passed the FY '12 budget yet (FY '11 ends 09/30/2011), so I have some worries about a government-wide shut-down and furloughs, but I can't believe they'd go to the brink twice in one year.

Gail, great news about your dad. Glad he's coming along.

Both of my sisters left this week on vacation....normally we only go one at a time, so there is always two of us around if anything happens with my dad....but I guess they didnt check with each other...so one left tuesday and the other thursday.....so it's just me to make sure he's ok.....so another trip this weekend into chicago.....

Who is making it off ebay? I love mine but had some issues with the fabric. If you pick something, you might ask her to send you pictures of the colors if the fabrics you pick are not available.

Well, I am loaded to the gills with dogs - I have all 5 of them. Thank heaven we have a fenced in back yard, I just have to be careful that McCoy doesn't dig out under the fence - or under the deck! Got my 2 pans of brownies done but still have to make sloppy joe's.
