Here we are again - MONDAY! Only 12 weeks to go - 12 weels from today I will be pulling my hair out but I am actually looking forward to it. I will just try and be organized enough you won't notice any hair gone.

Too funny.....

I am a stress-over packer.....I will decided on outfits, then I switch it around, then I add, then I subtract, then I add again....then I pack with a list, then I end up unpacking because even tho I check it off the list, I dont remember that I actually put it in there, so I unpack to check...which it is always in there....then....I think you get the gist of the story....and this will start days before we leave.....Oh plus I iron almost everything...people ask why I iron and it gets wrinkled anyway....because it is less wrinkled....
So that will start about a week before I actually start to pack.
Man I have just exhausted myself talking about it...

Well its another warm and muggy day here plus a monday on top of it.....but I took friday off so a short work week.....

I generally iron onboard. NOT exactly my favorite thing to do but I do it anyway. My goal this time is to get it all done on Saturday before dinner but we shall see - maybe Sunday by the time we get to Key West. I can manage some items that don't need to be pressed off but some are just a given.

One year I put the suitcases on the kitchen table and the laptop on the kitchen counter, typed into a spreadsheet - by column with the suitcase at the top what I was putting in it and then walked to the suitcase and put whatever in. Worked like a charm. That was the only year I didn't unpack and repack trying to verify that I did what I had marked.

Oh no! We have brunch at 10:30a and Dinner at 6pm. Don't remember why we got that one so early. Going to see if I change it to later.

There might be an earlier captain meeting as well? I dunno... we always do late dinner so I just scheduled it similar to that. That way we can still go to the show, get a free drink or 2 (maybe dance), and go to Palo for a nice meal afterwards. I heard they still have lobster but it's even better

I was going to pay my cruise off but will wait till this weekend as I'm so busy this week and have to transfer money from one bank to another...yes I have a "vacation" only bank account.

Morning everyone. Not a good day yesterday for me in any way shape or form. The truck needs a new transmission and, even worse, my Dad is going into hospice. He has been in the hospital more than he has been out for the last month, his heart just can't pump enough blood to the rest of his body to get the oxygen where it needs to be. I just can't get excited about anything right now.

Morning everyone. Not a good day yesterday for me in any way shape or form. The truck needs a new transmission and, even worse, my Dad is going into hospice. He has been in the hospital more than he has been out for the last month, his heart just can't pump enough blood to the rest of his body to get the oxygen where it needs to be. I just can't get excited about anything right now.

Gail, I am so sorry about your dad.....prayers to you and your family.

Well, it appears that the medical folks have changed their minds about my Dad! Part of the issue with their deciding not to do the procedure was because he couldn't lay on his back to have it done because he can't breathe. So, they increased is oxygen last night and he slept - on his back without any issue. So, today they are pumping him to get the fluid out of his lungs and looks like they are going to try and do it either Wednesday or Thursday. So, I feel some better.

I am trying not to get my hopes too high, but if he could find some relief and have an easier time breathing, that would be good. Hopefully his body can tolerate what needs to be done and he can regain some strength.

It looks like quite a few of us will be on 6. We are booked into room 6146. I don't know yet if it is a good room but I am just looking forward to our first cruise and hopefully meeting lots of new friends.

I would love to do the Post Card Exchange. I have collected one from every city I have ever traveled to. Would be great to start a box of ones from friends all over the world.

The meetup on the first day sounds good to me it will just be a matter of getting my DH and DD5 to participate. I have a feeling my daughter will not want to be torn away from the pool once she sees it. The breakfast/brunch meetup would probably be good too as long as it doesn't conflict with Character dining or excursions. Really hoping to get lots out of this cruise.

I have ordered supplies for the FE's and currently trying to make my first FE hanger. Not sure what it will look like yet but I am trying....

Well, I am looking forward to seeing everyone in 88 days!

Morning all. Nothing new to report as far as my Dad goes. Mom didn't call last night and she is having a hard time talking about it over and over and over so I just let it rest - they live in assisted living and everytime she goes out, everyone asks and it is hard for her to talk about.

The truck needs a new transmission - NOT what I wanted to hear but it is what it is and we need to get around - sucks to be a one car family.

Nothing much else to report though - I can't beleive that it is 12 weeks from Saturday. I am looking forward to meeting all of you.

Well glad today is over...crazy day at work.

Wally is on a business trip...(just for the day) fly to Ohio this morning and will be back sometime this evening....nice and quiet here plus I dont have to cook

well another day closer....I feel like I have so much to do yet....but I'm sure it will all get done.

They did the procedure this afternoon, put a balloon by his aortic valve but after getting in there and really seeing what is going on, that valve isn't as bad as the doctors thought - it is the mitral and they couldn't do anything for it. I will say, he sounded better today than he did the last time I spoke with him. But, when he is released, he goes home to hospice. They tried and I guess that is all I can ask for.

Lots of rain here last night and cloudy all day but no more rain. The Vietnam War traveling memorial is in town through Friday maybe - arrived today with a huge motorcycle escort and went right by my office. I stood until the exhaust fumes were giving me a headache and went back to work. Really was interesting. I will try and go over and take a look at it before it leaves.

Nothing else so stay cool.

Sorry to hear about your dad. I cannot imagine how hard that can be on you and your family.

Well, it is official! We are cruising! We struggled a bit with it financially, but we finally paid off the cruise today (so much for me being platinum and booking early!LOL!). I was able to get brunch like we wanted, but not high tea
Very excited and blessed to be going on this cruise! We did make another attempt, hoping someone cancelled so we could get a stateroom closer to mom. She is alone and in a handicap stateroom...we are mid ship and she is aft. We were hoping, but oh well. Anyone here in 6145?? LOL!!!!
Just thankful to be going and it feels real now!!!
