Hallmark Movies ❤️ comfort & joy

The GAC Family channel's first Christmas movie, Much Ado About Christmas, is still up on YouTube.

You can link directly to the YouTube page by clicking here:
Much Ado About Christmas

Or by watch it here:
(I recommend skipping through the first 35 min. It does get better after that.)

Yes, it's deceptive, how easy it is to get sucked down this rabbit hole. 🕳:lmao:I think a lot of us get made fun of, or would, if we let people know we watch them. Part of my reason for posting the thread is to give us an outlet to talk about them, if we don't talk about them in the rest of our lives. :ssst:

Yes, most people end up describing the movies rather than remembering their names. :thumbsup2
true...lol

Love this. In the UK here and just figured out how to have a Hallmark subscription for Christmas.

Ooo! Do tell us how you did it. Was it signing up for the Frndly TV app? Or did you do something else?

Have we talked about the fact that Jamie from Outlander is in a Hallmark Christmas movie? Forgive me if this has already been discussed. Heck, I may have already brought it up myself. Lol.

Well, he's clothed for one thing. ;)

We know who one of @AustinTink's favorite Hallmark actors is, especially after Hallmark. ;) :lmao:

Who are everyone else's favorite Hallmark actors?

I found a list of them with photos if anyone needs a refresher:

I'll go first.

1 Cameron Mathison
2 Marc Blucas
3 Kevin McGarry
4 Victor Webster
5 Eric Mabius

Special mention: Henry Winkler who was in The Most Wonderful Time of the Year. I had always hoped he'd do another. But, since he won an Emmy for the TV series he's in now, I think he will be too busy to ever do one again.

If you like Niall Matter. Check out the show Eureka on Amazon Prime.

I like the sheriff from that show. He's done a couple of Hallmark movies.

I like your list but I'll add Chad Michael Murray. After Sam Heughan, he's my favorite.

What should I watch this weekend?

Depends on what your personal picking process is. :teeth:

Originally I was going to just post the dates & titles of the movies in the weekly schedule. But, I realized the titles are meaningless to us, as we don't know anything about the movies.

I added in the stars, as I usually chose by my favorite stars first. Then, if they all are about equal, I'll go by description of the movie and what sounds most appealing.

Offhand, looking at this weekend's movies, I'll probably see Alison Sweeney's movie first. I like her. And since she executive produced it, hopefully that means she was able to keep the script quality high.

Second will probably be Eloise Mumford's movie. This movie has 3 actors in it who do a lot of network TV: Eloise, Peter Gallagher & Bruce Campbell, who I don't think would agree to a movie script that's crap. (I hope!)

Third will probably be the DNA movie. Last year there was a similar story, where the female lead found out she is part Jewish. I wasn't going to watch but a lot of people here recommended it. It turned out, I also thought it was one of the best last season. So, I'm hoping this one may be good too.

I know I wouldn't want to be the guy wearing a necktie in any of the Hallmark movies. They never get the girl.
Hmmm I never noticed that, just one more piece of analysis while I watch, I am really into their "process." LOL
Sometimes when I am bored at a meeting, I keep track of the buzz words the presenter is saying just to make the time pass....for Hallmark movies I will be on "tie watch."

I watched the Darlington movie last night, actually it was pretty good. I am not sure of the lead actresses name but she was stunning and I liked her love interest ( I do not know the names of many of them). He elicited sympathy and not repulsion like some of the leads do.

That was Katrina Law. Yes, she is stunning. She does a lot of network TV, so she's only done 2 other Hallmark movies. She was a regular in Hawaii 5-0 and now she's in NCIS. She was only able to do Christmas with the Darlings as NCIS couldn't film due to COVID but the Hallmark movies were filming up in Canada.

Both of her other movies are two of my favorites. They are well written and well cast and worth watching. I think you will like these two also.

12 GIFTS of Christmas (not to be confused with a couple other movies with similar names,) is on again on 11/18 Thur at midnight (12 am ET.)

and Snow Bride (the funnier of the two,) is on later that day, 11/18 Thur at 4pm ET.

BTW, I don't remember everyone's name or the movie titles either. Too many of them named "Christmas ____." I rely on the IMDb.com more times than I can count.:lmao:And it comes in real handy when I'm watching some actor and I can't place where I've seen them before. :scratchin Although it's weird when I scroll down their resume and there isn't anything they've been in that I've seen. :confused3 :lmao:
