Two thumbs up for this one! It's from the same writer (Nicole Baxter) who wrote "A Pinch of Portugal" and "Aloha Heart". I also thought Erin Krakow and Robert Buckley had great chemistry. One of the better "new" movies, imo.

Ok. So I watched a few minutes of this one last night, and will watch it completely tonight, probably. Did anyone relate to the scene where Madeline pulls out the color-coded itinerary/schedule and proudly shows it off to her fiancé?

Obviously, she's an OCD like we all are, and has been to WDW or DLR/DCA and knows how it's done, doncha think?

Finished watching it completely a few minutes ago. Beautiful cinematography of Niagara Falls and the surrounding area. We went last year about this time and can attest that it is a must-see attraction.

Oh good. For their "National Park" movies, Hallmark didn't really film in the national parks. They just filmed in some place in Canada they could pretend looked like areas of the parks. But, part of Niagara Falls IS in Canada, which fits their requirement. So, I though they'd better not mess this up. :badpc:

Hmmm... sounds a lot like "Two Tickets to Paradise".

You were so right! Beautiful views of Niagara Falls! I think I may need to add zip-lining Niagara Falls to my bucket list. :scratchin

I liked the movie, BTW. I kept waiting for Dan Jeannotte to break out in a French accent though. It took me half the movie to get used to his normal voice. He was a lot more loose in this movie, which was fun to watch. :)

I haven't seen this yet, but I have mixed feelings about the premise -- forgive me if this is presented differently in the movie. On the surface, contacting your donor isn't something that should be happening. And I'd like to think people aren't so unrealistic that they assume if they do they will end up with insta-dad, but I am surprised by what people can convince themselves of if they want to believe it. So I get why the Hallmark movie works out, but I think it's far more likely it would not.

That said, I like both leads and I'll be watching when I get to it!

I was watching a YouTube short last night where a woman was claiming she took her egg donor to court, and then there was a clip of the guy saying he has to pay hundreds of dollars a month in child support now for something he did once, at age 18, for only $150. It turned out to be a sarcastic parody and NOT possible right now. But, with so many states laws changing now, who knows? Someday, the donors' rights to privacy may get overturned? :scratchin

However, this movie plot could be like a previous Christmas movie with Andrew Walker, where the female lead finds out through one of those DNA matching places who her father and family are. Walker was a close friend of the family. This plot could be similar, that when both parties are informed, they agree to meet.

But, yeah, expecting a happily ever after may be giving people false hopes in donor cases.

NO new movies this week on either the Hallmark Channel or on Hallmark Mystery.

When Calls the Heart IS on as regularly scheduled on Sunday.

There will be a new movie next Saturday. :thumbsup2
