Hallmark Christmas Movies

My curiosity is, some of these actors and actresses are fairly well known, and many of them appear in multiple movies. Is this good work?
Well for many people work is still work to a point at least.

Are these actors and actresses waiting for better,
Maybe some are but doubt it's the main reason for the majority.

are these movies nice careers and steady work.
It's probably more this.

___________
You would really need to look at the actors and actresses and their portfolios. Some have been well-known names for long time but maybe have shifted to another type of work, some have left certain types of work and took time off and are looking for a different pace, some may be building their portfolio and using it as a stepping stone, etc.

But no doubt it's not a one size fits all.

I get honest curiosity but I don't tend to find myself analyzing the careers of persons in Hallmark movies. Most I would think is "oh I remember so and so on so and so"

Don't defend/explain to Haters. Any kind of Hater. It's a waste of time & energy. Haters vibrate at a different psychic & spiritual frequency. You can explain, explain, explain, but because of the dissonance in their vibrational frequency, they will never be in alignment to get it. If anything, because of that dissonance, they may even try to use what you've said to be more derisive and to attack you with it. They NEED to bring you to their vibrational frequency. Recognize them. Yet, don't even get into it.
Even my husband who scoffs at Hallmark in general enjoys some Hallmark Christmas movies (never as many as I do but he does enjoy some) lol.

I watch these every weekend. The plot is about the same for every one of them. But it is pleasant and there isn't any gratuitous sex. I always look for the current/past soap opera actors/actresses in them. Danica McKeller and Lacey Chabert show up a lot. I remember Lacey when she played Erica Kane's daughter when she was a child (before Party of Five).

I totally understand the general scoffing & eye rolling about Hallmark cards & the movies. The cards are considered overly-sentimental. (Remember the old Hallmark Card commercials that used to be real tear-jerkers?

) Yes, guys in general hate "chick flicks." Way too sappy, corny, sentimental romances. :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: While they want to be in a good, loving relationship themselves, they certainly don't want to watch about one. They can't click the TV remote fast enough past even a well written, well acted "chick flick," in case the gf/wife says, "Oooo! The Notebook! Let's watch that!" :scared: :headache: And if they do end up watching one & liking it, they won't publicly admit it, or if caught knowing about it, they blame the gf/wife who made them watch it. :rolleyes1(Probably your DH. :ssst:  )

There's a difference in a guy hating the movies vs. showing up on a thread to hate on the people who do watch them, saying they have issues. :sad2: That poster was hating on us. It would be like one of us showing up on The Walking Dead thread and belittling them and saying they have issues for watching a show about rotting dead people. :sad2:

THAT is where I recognized Lacey from! :thumbsup2 I knew she looked so familiar in Mean Girls. I have never seen Party of Five, so I knew it couldn't have been from that.

I like Cameron Mathison's movies. He played Ryan Lavery on All My Children. I like the one with Mira Sorvino that is playing this week, where she has amnesia. She has such a warm, open, vulnerable quality about her. It's a shame Harvey Weinsten derailed her career. She was an Oscar winner, and then went to nothing. :sad2: Now that what he did is out, hopefully she can now have a successful career again making mainstream movies. So we probably won't be seeing her making any more Hallmark movies.

Another actress I really like that we won't see again for a while is Tricia Helfer. She's been doing Lucifer, for the past few years and Season 4 & beyond has been just picked by Netflix. I like her in Operation Christmas, where she falls for an army Special Forces soldier and it shows what the spouses of those who are in the military emotionally go through. It also highlights how the soldiers are at war, meanwhile the spouses & families are living on base, sometimes barely eeking by financially. There is something so wrong with that. (Not trying to turn this into a political discussion.)
