Hallmark Christmas in July 🎄 comfort & joy ❤️

I’m watching Lifetime’s Christmas Movie Magic. It’s another unique story and has a feel good quest 🎅🏽🤶🏽

Just finished this movie. Thanks for recommending it. I really liked it. It's different than the usual storylines we keep seeing over and over. :thumbsup2 I liked that there was a quest. I also liked how the writer wrote so some older actresses were cast. The ending was really sweet.

For others interested in seeing it, it's on again on:
Fri 12/17 at 4pm ET on Lifetime
Tue 12/21 at 12pm ET
And Spectrum Cable has it On Demand on Lifetime

I just watched “A Dickens of a Holiday!” This was great and I highly recommend it. That might be the first one I’ve watched this year (although there are many I haven’t gotten to yet) that I can say that about!

Lifetime: PEOPLE Presents: Blending Christmas at 8pm ET / 7CT (re-airs 4 hours later.)
starring Haylie Duff, Aaron O'Connell, also: Beth Broderick, Greg Evigan, Brady Bunch stars: Christopher Knight, Mike Lookinland, Barry Williams, Susan Olsen, Robbie Rist.
Description:
A couple's relationship suffers as they try to blend their bickering families over the holidays. The families realize they have to join forces to keep the couple together.

Thanks for mentioning this one. I always loved that show, and just set the movie to tape.

I'll set that one too if I can find it re-airing! (ETA - Wed 12/15 @8:00)

Someone on Facebook mentioned that the red truck that became popular in the Christmas in Evergreen movies and on the mug below appears in every Hallmark Christmas movie. She said sometimes it’s for a split second and other times it’s for a couple of minutes. It's there when one looks for it.

Has anyone here noticed it? I haven't. I just started looking for it last night. I do recall seeing a red pickup truck here and there, not always that one. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for it now. :magnify:

There was a concert at the Christmas Con last night. One of the songs Alicia Witt sang was O Holy Night. This is pretty much the same performance, (although recorded a year earlier.) She actually has a better voice than I thought. She sang in a Hallmark movie last year, playing a country music star, being accused of stealing someone else's song. That song did not show off that she actually has a voice.

(You might need to turn on the sound if it's muted. The volume button is along the bottom of the screen.)

Reminder for tonight:

The CBS channel tonight is airing a Christmas movie: The Christmas Proposal. It's on after football and 60 Minutes. So the start time is approximate. Also, set your DVR to record about a half hour longer, just in case, so you don't accidentally cut off the end of the movie. 8:30 ET/ 7:30 CT. West coast should be fine with the 8pm PT start time.

Starring Jessica Camacho and Adam Rodriguez.
Description: Maria Winters is a down-on-her-luck chef who dreams of starting her own line of food trucks. She agrees to pose as the girlfriend of Julian Diaz, a hotshot Seattle attorney visiting his family for Christmas, to help him prove he’s the ideal candidate to take over the family firm. But their business arrangement is complicated by the magic of the season as real sparks begin to fly.

Alicia Witt was in Mr. Holland's Opus.
I've always thought she had a beautiful singing voice!

What is up with the Williams' sisters' movies? I'm very confused. I watched the 6pm movie and now the 8pm movie just started but clearly the 8pm movie cannot be Part 2 because this is time-wise earlier than the one that ended at 6pm. Did Hallmark reverse Part one and Part two tonight?

I was right about setting the DVR to record a half hour later. 60 Minutes is still on and seems to be going 27 minutes over time. So the movie will start closer to 9pm ET.

They take place at exactly the same time. This weeks movie is Ashley’s story. Last weeks was Kimberly’s story. So we are seeing what Ashley was doing while we saw Kimberly at home last week.

I still haven't watched the first movie yet. Maybe @elgerber knows what's going on?

Maybe Part 2 backed up in time a little bit to catch people up on what's going on?

Edited: Yay! Elgerber answered.

While it's technically true that the movies star both sisters, it turned out that each sister mainly got their own movie. One sister basically did short, cameo appearances in the other sister's movie.

The 2nd movie fell flat because much of it simply covered ground from the 1st movie.

It would have been SO much better had the story been broken up evenly over a 2-part movie.

By the way, I really like Ashley Williams. Unfortunately, someone must have told her that she's known for her big smile. In her recent movies (especially these two), she smiles so big that she looks like she's trying to be the Joker. It's time to dial it back a few notches....
