Hallmark Christmas in July 🎄 comfort & joy ❤️

So far the only movie I've really enjoyed this season was the Netflix "A Castle for Christmas" with Brooke Shields.

I saw her do an interview for that movie. It really looked good. Too bad I don't have Netflix. :(

I wonder if GAC will try and recruit her for stuff on their channel. I used to like the Flower Shop mysteries she did on HMM.

Have you guys ever heard of Christmas Con? Or been to one? It's a Christmas convention with the Hallmark Christmas actors & actresses. There are a few scheduled around the country.

There is one scheduled this weekend in NJ.
https://www.thats4entertainment.com/new-jersey

There are, of course, Christmas things to do, a Christmas tree lighting ceremony, an ugly sweater contest, holiday game night, wreath making, and a live concert with Alicia Witt, Jen Lilly and Paul Greene. There are also live panels with various actors on stage telling stories about making various Hallmark movies and such. And there are (paid) photo ops where one can meet their favorite actors really briefly and get a photo with them.

This is what I saw. Which one did you get?

Joy. The Sauvignon bland which happens to be my wine of choice. Saving it for Christmas when someone will be here to help me drink it. I thought they were only available online. I couldn’t resist when I saw it.

I really love it when they pair Kimberly Sustad and Paul Campbell. Their movies are usually smart and they have great chemistry!
Mostly I'm just rewatching favs from year's past.

I just caught the tail end of A Godwink Christmas a.g.a.i.n. Seriously, those two are so great together.

It's hard to watch a new movie when I see a good old one on. My DVR is really getting full. :headache:

Has anyone seen The Housewives of North Pole on Peacock? I watched it last night and thought it was pretty funny. They had some cameos of housewives from Bravo and Kyle Richardson was one of the stars. It was kind of dumb but fun to watch.

I watched the last half last night too, I LOVE that movie. They are the best together. Christmas by Starlight is wonderful too.

I’ll check it out, sounds funny!

I don't have Peacock or Netflix. :( Sounds like there are a few good movies on them.

Paul and Kimberley wrote Christmas by Starlight. :thumbsup2 And whether them writing together lit a fire under Paul, or he just had time, sitting home during the pandemic, (probably a combo of both,) he also wrote the Bethany Joy Lenz / Tyler Hynes movie out this season, An Unexpected Christmas, and Lacey Chabert's movie in Ireland.

For those of us who visit Ocean City, NJ in the summers, I just found this article, where an upcoming Hallmark movie may possibly be filmed there!

https://wpst.com/hallmark-christmas...rUOYks-Hn7OacuA3ldvKSXPwbv_p1oq9jWbwE1fTn0A94

Although Hallmark usually films in Canada as it's so much cheaper to film there. So, I don't know about this rumor. :(

But here is Asbury Avenue decorated for the
the annual Ocean City Christmas Parade. Looks like the typical Hallmark main street. :lovestruc

Yeah, I knew they wrote that one. I didn't know he wrote those though. I have both recorded. I love Bethany Joy.

I liked An Unexpected Christmas. Bethany Joy was really good in it. And the dialogue was sharp. I think, after having to recite so many mediocre lines, Paul is writing for the actors and what they want to say instead.
