Halftime show

i dunno!! I was not really impressed with the half time show. I really would have liked to see Bon Jovi. Now they would have rocked the stadium:cool1:

Same here! I would love to see Bon Jovi too.

We changed the channel before the first note.

We stuck it out through Who Are You, then hit the Puppy Bowl. That was the WORST halftime show I've ever seen. That was really bad and the lights couldn't save them.

How much did they get paid for that:confused:

I loved the light show. And was that townsend's son?

I thought they did a good show. Come on it's the Who! They were old back then- I thought for what it was it was good.

The drummer was Zak Starkey, Ringo Starr's son. Keith Moon was his godfather.

I love The Who, but would have preferred not to see them tonight.

Ironically, when I was a little girl, I couldn't understand the words to the song "Who Are You." I always thought they were singing "New Orleans." LOL!!! Then when CSI started, I'd still sing "New Orleans" just because I thought it was funny.

I thought the performance was pretty awful, they didn't have the energy that is needed to pull of a major performance.

I'm ready for a young group to perform, ever since the wardrobe malfunction, the networks have played it too safe in only letting guys over the age of 50 perform, most of them past their prime.

I think a few of us could go down to the local Karaoke Bar and give a better performance.

My Generation, indeed.

...But the light show was cool.

Maddle

Agree completely. I thought The Who were much better than some teeny-boppery act that could have been schlepped in for the halftime show. Good on 'em.

Young or old, you shouldn't butcher your own material. Bad show guys.

The consensus at our house was they should have stayed home or lip synched.

I thought the same way...I actually believe he forgot some of the words to Pinball Wizard! I thought they sucked big time! Time to give it up boys!

I've always been a big Who fan, but I think they're too old for this. It was almost like a Simpson's mockery of a Who concert. I was disappointed that Pete didn't smash his guitar.

Perhaps it was worth it, when the kids asked why the original drummer and bass player weren't there. I was able to explain that they both accidentally killed themselves taking drugs.

They could have skipped Pinball Wizard. Roger sounded better as the show went on.

Most professional performers know to warm up prior to beginning their performance. It was clearly a by the seat of their pants show. We changed the channel and watched the kitten half time show at the puppy bowl.

My son said, 'I thought you liked THE WHO, Mom.' I said, 'This isn't THE WHO, it's two lazy old guys who used to be in a great band.'

Aww maybe I am just liking it because of sentiment.

The drummer is Ringo Starr's son.

One of the guitarists was Pete Townsend's brother I think.

Yep. We could have been listening to the Jonas Bros. and Miley Cyrus.;)

We all loved it here! Best performance ever? No, but certainly better than most of the nonsense that is touted as talent today.

The DDs had a great time singing along to all the "CSI songs" with me, LOL. Hey, whatever gets them to listen to my music for a change is good with me. ;)
