Roger and Peter are getting old.

During the first few notes of "Pinball Wizard" I wasn't very confident. But the WHO came through! I loved hearing those songs of theirs (& the various CSI theme songs!)

I enjoyed it -obviously they are past their prime -but they gave it their all I thought.
If my kids made one more remark about how old they are I was going to have to knock them up side the head.

I thought it was a great show. Poor Pete, I wished he had shaved (kinda funny when they showed him sing "Teenage Wasteland) and the issue with that jacket.

DH listening from kitchen...and screaming.:scared1:

Some bands are just better left to memories. Love the music...but they butchered their own songs...( Sad in our opinion)

They could have skipped Pinball Wizard. Roger sounded better as the show went on.

I agree...but I never much liked them. They were old when I was in high school 25 years ago!!

I said, "I'd rather be watching the Jonas Brothers" and DH said, "me too" and he is not a Jo Bros fan which tells you how much he disliked the show tonight!

DH loved it! :rotfl2: He is the only Who fan in the house, but I thought that they did pretty good for being that old. :rotfl2:

I'm from that generation but seeing Pete's stomach made me want to hurl. Dude, your old, nobody wants to see your abs. It's a good thing they had nice lights on their stage because the vocals were cringe-worthy.

I think Pete's shirt coming up qualified as a wardrobe malfunction........ :rotfl2:

But I thought they did a good job... the dudes are mid 60's for God's sake....

Young or old, you shouldn't butcher your own material. Bad show guys.

The consensus at our house was they should have stayed home or lip synched.

I have to agree here. I was never a fan, but I liked a couple of songs from back in the day. I thought they were awful tonight. Roger Daltrey seems to have aged well, but Pete Townsend looked like Donald Pleasance.

I loved the light show. And was that townsend's son?

I thought they did a good show. Come on it's the Who! They were old back then- I thought for what it was it was good.

they wisely left out "my generation", 'cause they can't really sing "hope I die before I get old" anymore... ;)

Yeah it was neat to see the Who perform live but then again yeah I was like wow its not the best they have sounded.
Then I thought to myself is there any newer younger acts I would have liked to seen instead ? hmmmm no not really. I just dont like much of the newer music these days. I guess I am old lol

in the Will.i.am re-mix it is "don't wanna die, don't get old"!:rotfl:

I have always loved The Who, so this was good enough for me!:)

:wizard:

I'd rather see them then most of the cruddy "superstars" of today. I'd like to see the Beach Boys actually LOL!

i dunno!! I was not really impressed with the half time show. I really would have liked to see Bon Jovi. Now they would have rocked the stadium:cool1:
