Just booked our flights TO Orlando at least! We have the last half of Feb. off and I've been stalking the airlines for a while now. This morning (I always try to check Tues/Wed) I saw a non-stop fare on SWA, MHT-MCO for $109. I backed up long enough to check the schedule and call dh--and it disappeared! I just checked again, and got the $109 fare for an afternoon direct flight--not quite as good, but still good.

We have been hedging our bets like crazy, on other options and airlines. We really like SW, like that you can change if a better deal comes up, don't have to pay for luggage, etc. MHT is also a great little airport. Boston has more to pick from, but MHT is easy, and we know a good park and fly. So that's really what we wanted.

The return fares are still up there...we want two weeks but the latter part of the trip coincides with President's Day, which pushes up the fares. We could get a decent fare ($123) on the Thursday, but that puts us with only 12 days on the ground--and less usable time, when you consider the day you get there (late) and the day you leave (usually early). We could go a day or two early, but only if we have to. The kids have a two-week break already, and making it 2.5 or 3 is going to be hard on them when they return.

Anyway...I have something to work with! :woohoo:

I agree, MHT is a great airport to fly in and out of. We live pretty close by!
