The low down on the crew going:
My younger sister, my cute 6 year old nephew,Me and my 3 kids,son's 8 and 9(less then a month away from being 9 and 10!) and my princess who is going to be 6 soon.
This trip has been in the making since last summer. I was going to take all my kids but as things came up my 2 oldest can't attend with us but thier dad will be home for a holiday with them. Then the costs of the flights sky rocketed, causeing us to rethink how we were going to get to disney. As my van decided to die on us I had to get a new one so it was set we would drive.
We are going to be at pop for 7 nights in Aug and at the disney camp site for 1 night. We decided to go with the ddp as we have kids who like to eat that and feeding kids on the plan makes it worth while in the long run.
We have book the following meals:
Luau
crystal palace
50's primetime
akersish
marrakesh
donalds bf @ AK
We have booked the pirates legue for all 4 kids thanks to thier grand parents as a birthday present as they all have birthdays close together.
The major differance between this driving trip and one that you fly to disney is the stops. We plan on doing dsome really neat things along the way. We have decided that these will be the stops along the way:
Charlotte- I have no idea what we are going to do in this city yet, it's just a city 11 hours away and makes a good stop
Will need to see what we can visit in this town.We wil wake up and hit the road as we have a 4 hour drive to a very haunted town...
savahnna ga- Sight seeing is of course on the planner for this day. We will find lunch hopefully at The pirate house which is a real historic pirate house how neat is that, I wanted to go to Paula Deans but as you need to reserve you seats that day by 9:30 we can't ( the pirate house sounbd much more interesting
After an afternoon walking the squares we will be going on a haunted trolly ride at night, no worries this is a pg 13 ride with restriction on kids under 4.
Yay disney- It takes about 4 hours from Savanna to orlando, so we will start on the roads early as I want to be in the park before noon but we really arn't in a rush.

Beach day- We are planing on going down near cocoa beach( cape canaveral) to see the manatees/dolphins. After a early day( planning on arriving around 9 ish staying until 3) at the beach we will be heading to international drive to find food( cici's) and eat ice cream in the largest mc d's( the kids will be thrilled). Then we will be stopping off at a disney outlet store. Back to disney we go, with a bit of rest we may make it to mk for a few hours as it's open to 2 am this day though I'm not pushing it .

open day We will see a park we really want to see again.
We leave disney early for an 8 hour drive to Cleveland GA . Stopping here we plan on camping at a real gold/gem mine. The kids will be spending the moring paddling through the stream though if it rains you can buy buckets to sift through. After a morning of looting the place we will head off to the cabbage patch hospital, babyland. As I already have a stuffed boy I' looking to adopt a sister or brother. My boys may not think it's great but my Daughter will be thrilled. We then will be driving to Charleston.
Charleston is our last stop though I haven't decided 100% this is where we will be staying as it's 7 hours away and we wouldn't get there until 9pm ish. As this is a site seeing type of town we may decide to stay for a bit before heading home( if we stay in the town, if not this will be our rest point).We will be home by dark, I don't like to drive at night so we will be driving during the da.
