Half marathon this weekend...

Is this something new on Labor Day weekend? I don't remember there being a marathon on this weekend???

My friend was just asking me how crowded it would be this weekend because of the marathon and I was like HUH??? So I looked on the RunDisney website and saw it.

This will be the 12th anniversary for the half marathon and 5k. The 10k was added 5 years ago. The 1st year the race was I think the 2nd or 3rd weekend in Sept, the 2nd year the 5k was Sun of Labor Day weekend and the half was on Mon, switching to Sat/Sun the 3rd year. The 1st year of the 10k (5 years ago), they did both the 5k and 10k on Sat, then the next year they switched the line up to what it is now Fri- 5k, Sat - 10k and Sun - half.

Those poor people.....the weather is disgusting right now. It was 80 degrees this morning .....in my house!

The 2nd year they had it there was a heat wave and by the time I finished the 1/2 it was already over 100 and we started at 5:30 in the morning. Anything less than that is better and this year they moved the start time up a bit to 5, so it'll definitely help, even a little bit.

Definitely not new. I'm literally wearing my 2014 Disneyland half shirt right now!
